Country Code Domains - does it matter?
If you are searching for a product, service or information does the domain name extension matter to you.
Would you choose to visit a domain with your ccTLD ( .us, .ca, .de, etc.) before the .com?
It seems that ccTLD's are becoming much more popular (if commercials on tv and in print are any indication). Is this simply a result of all the good .com's having been registered?

It doesn't "matter" per se, but depending on what your website is doing/offering/selling/located a ccTLD can be the more logical choice.

Your aim is to get your product as close to number 1 in a google/yahoo search as possible. It matters not the ending. Think of habits. Most people will do a search and if they don't find it on or near the first search place they will try elsewhere. Its more important that your "keywords" are going to get the top hit. Cars for instance...
"Value" "Bargain" Lowest prices" "Cars" all these keywords etc

Quite the opposite actually, I would pick .com over the rest.
