If there was a 'Spanish civil war' in another Western nation, would you fight?

If there was a modern equivalent of the Spanish civil war (those who wanted a fascist dictatorship against those who wanted democracy) in another Western country (i.e. Europe, North America or Australasia), would you fight on their behalf like many foreigners did back in the 30s? What would persuade you?

The Spanish Civil War wasn't a simple fascism vs democracy battle. Franco's side won but he was a militarist rather than a fascist, though the Falange counted themselves as his allies. Monarchists and pro-Catholic groups also made up the Nationalist side.

The Republicans, while they counted liberal democrats and anarchists amoung their number, also consisted of many socialist and communist groups and were supported by Stalin.

"The Soviet Union, alongside with Western democracies, aided the Spanish Republicans" is regrettably incorrect. The maximum advantageous ecu democracies (super Britain, France) have been in contact (alongside Nazi Germany & Fascist Italy) interior the "Non Intervention Committee" - the purpose of which grow to be to resign exterior intervention from inflaming the already stressful undertaking interior something of Europe. SA the two Germany & Italy have been actively helping Franco, the Non Intervention Committee grow to be fairly grow to be a smoke reveal for fascist intervention. Why did super Britain enable a democratic Spain to fall to a fascist inspired defense force insurrection? simply by fact the British ruling type favoured fascism over socialism in Spain.

It depends on who was fighting who. If Russia re-invaded Georgia for example and threatened to also invade Ukraine, Poland, or other NATO nations, I might consider it.
