31 weeks 5 days and OOOOWWWWWW!!!!?

I'm 31 weeks 5 days and I'm having lots of pain and pressure in my vaginal area....so much so it's swollen down there. Is this normal??? Babies head is engaged and has been for the last week. I've been feeling this way for a few days and sometimes the pain is unbearable. Has any one else had this problem??

THE PRESSURE IS UNBEARABLE RIGHT? IT IS COMPLETELY NORMAL, I GAVE BIRTH 34 DAYS LATE AND HAD THAT PAIN FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHES.... IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER CALL THE DR. I FOUND IT VERY SOOTHING TO SIT IN A HOT BATHTUB, AS HOT AS YOU CAN STAND IT, SORT OF A SITZ BATH, WHICH YOU DO 3 TIMES A DAY AFTER GIVING BIRTH....

When the pain is unbearable, is your belly hardening? If so, that's called labor, and you should go get checked since you're still 8 weks away. Otherwise, yes, pain is common. As long as the pain isn't coming every 5 minutes and accompanied by hardening of the belly, just wait it out.

Most likely normal and caused by your baby dropping. It takes a while to adjust to carrying the weight of your baby differently. Telephone your doctor or midwife with any changes in your health during pregnancy, don't wait and worry until the next appointment.

Walking, warm baths, swimming, climbing stairs can all help your body adjust to the new positioning of your baby. Best wishes, G

I did, my son was in the birth canal and everytime he moved his head, my va-jj felt like it was going to pop out. i also had some pain in my lower stomach. funny, my husband and i were talking about this pain a few nights ago. i dont remember it being swollen though. it was unbearable pain but thats when ur baby is moving its head.. remember its uncomfortable for the baby to be in that position also.. just to be on the safe side, the next time you see your dr.. mention it to him or her. i used to put a warm cloth there or lay in a warm tub.. that used to help me. anyways, let me know how things go. email : queen_bling22@hotmail.com or yahoo messenger: icey_chica

Maybe you should see a doctor. He could tell you better than we can
