Why hasnt my internet connection been working?
I got my laptop last year in early August. The internet would work fine when I used it in my room up until about 3 weeks ago. All of a sudden, I dont get connection in my room which is on the third floor of my house. The linksys box is down in the basement, but I cant move it or anything because that connects to my dads computer. What can I do/buy so that I can get connection again?

all sorts of reasons
the most common one is there is another router close by on the same channel as your router that has a stronger signal than yours
Try changing the router channel number
Wireless phones video sender devices can all interfere with wireless reception
If its still a problem a home plug device will be a good solution. You plug one into the router down stairs and the power Then the other one in the power and in your PC Ethernet they work by sending the internet down the electricity lines

The home plug is a good option but you need to make sure that both plug are on the same phase. If you dont know what that means then you might lose out on your investment.
Alternatevely you could try one of the newer wireless routers Wireless N with a Wireless N adapter and you should receive a strong connection.
has the router been shifted? try moving it back to the original place.
check the router settings. Has the power output been changed? make sure it has been set to max.
Change the chanel to 1, 6, or 11 and try using the best one.
Or last, if your router supports it. try using a bigger antenna.
which router are ya currently using?

seems such as you have some interference subject concerns with your instant router. in case you have an older instant telephone on your place (some thing that operates under 2 ghz) you will possibly be inadvertantly messing with your sign. See if there is something on your place which may be interfering.
