Moving question! Help!?
How soon do I notify creditors, utility companies, DMV, etc. of my new address? I'll be moving 10 days from today, and this is my first time moving from one apartment to another (before I lived at home).

I generally submit an adress change to the post office a week before I move with a start date a couple of days before I move. Then I wait unitl after I've actually moved to contact creditors, etc.

the utility companies will know when you cut off at the old place and re-connect for the new place. Your driver's license should be changed within thirty days. As you pay your creditors, send a change of addres with your payment.
