Do you think doing the triple will hurt Rowdy's chances for a win on Sunday?

He's young so I'm sure he has the stamina. But someone else will be practicing his cup car. But the little turd could probably get on a tricycle and win. I'm a Jr. fan but you gotta give props when props are due.

Update:

No offense meant with the little turd remark. It's a name I call my favorite nephew. Not to be contrary but on NASCAR Now today, he said someone else(can't remember who) would be practicing his cup car but wasn't worried about it because the team knows how he likes his car set up.

Update 2:

Correction. I thought I heard him say that someone else would be practicing his cup car.

I don't really think it will Bill, he is a tough little varmint-

and only 23 yrs. old. If you remember back some years

when you was in your 20's, -I don't think he can win em all

but he will lead laps in each.

I agree with you that he could probably win on a tricycle. Even if someone else practices his cup car, he is excellent at telling Steve Addington what the car needs so they can adjust on it. I personally can't stand the "little turd", btw I love the nickname for him, but you're right, if you're a true nascar fan, you have to recognize the skills he has. I think he will finish in the top 5 in all 3 races, with one win. Probably in the truck. That's my guess.

As much as I hate to admit it, Kyle Busch is probably more capable of a three-peat win in one weekend at two or three different tracks than most other drivers. Kyle seems like he has a point to prove every weekend. I don't know why...he's proven that he can run with the big boys.

He has a shot yes, but in reality, when you factor in the travel time, appearances, interviews, etc that these guys have to do, I question whether he'll have the energy.

Wild Bill, thanks for being a real sport and giving credit where due. I personally pull for the #9, but have to agree that KB18 has skills that pays the bills!

I completely agree with you about the young/stamina part and for that reason alone I don't think all the travel will be a detriment. Personally, as hard as he's going after every race this year, I'd like to see him do it. Until he pulls off a trifecta like this he'll keep pushing the envelope. I want him to just go all out all year, win everything and then settle down next year so we can see what the "real" Kyle Busch is going to be like in the long haul. I think this year he's so driven he could do anything.

Well it certainly won't help his chances. It may not effect him much now but if he keeps up that kind of a schedule it will wear on him later in the season. If I were Joe Gibbs, I would start reigning him in a little and keep him focused on the ultimate goal of winning the Sprint Cup championship. Right now I think Kyle's ego and enthusiasm for racing is dictating his hectic pace and nobody is willing to tell him no.

He may, but even for someone running as good as he has been lately its already a tall order to win in the Cup series.

I'd like to see how he makes out. I wish him luck. But I am sure he thought about exhaustion going into this deal. I'm sure there will be a plug for NOS energy drink sometime in this 3 race, 3 track weekend of his.

actually, rowdy will practice and qualify his cup car. he's already had someone practice and qualify the truck (his stand-in qualified 17th), and someone else will practice and qualify his nationwide car. he'll make all cup practices and qualifying, flying out only for the actual truck and nationwide races themselves, where he will have to start in back.

as to whether or not "the little turd"'s chances for a win will be affected, i have to agree with boris said, who said he might just do better on sunday - because all weekend he will be totally focused on racing. his handlers will get him from here to there and he won't have all the sponsor obligations and other things that distract drivers before the race.

Turd was the correct word to describe the Lil Busch as I refer to him. You know he is going to be tired. But has you already said he could ride a tricycle and win.
