Free Antivirus+Spyware Program for Windows 2000?
completely free-no typing in credit cards, or signing up and completely legal.
googlepack will not work because it doesn't support Windows 2000.
and while we're at it, what is the difference between spyware and virus?

There are two really GREAT FREE programs out there.
AVG Free is an award winning free anti-virus program.
Also, Spybot Search and Destroy is a VERY GOOD FREE anti-spyware program.
I reccommend that you download and use both as they have different functions. AVG Free is GREAT for preventing things from affecting your computer, while SpyBot S&D is GREAT for getting rid of things already affecting your computer.

I like Avg Free version for virus defense
And Spybot search and destroy for Spyware
Viruses are programs that set them selfs in your computer, they can do a variety of things.
Spyware is a type of virus, it is just like a spy, it sits in you computer stealing info about your computer and what you do
