oil shutdown?

why shut down the oil refinery in the northsea? is it running out of oil?

    It due to the industrial action at the refinery,, Grangmouth

    The proceessing plant where I work needs steam. The refinery supplies the steam, and they are shut down.

    Therefore the Forties pipeline has to be shut in. That's why the north sea platforms are affected.

    No it is not running out of oil but the shutdown is likely to force oil prices up as if they have ever needed any excuse before.
