How do I find the circumference of an apple pie?
I have to make pie for "pi day" and we have to find the circumference of it. I know the formula for circumference is circumferece=pi*diameter, but will this work for an apple pie since it is not a perfect circle?

Of course the answer won't be exact if it's not a perfect circle, but what else can you do? There will be a small error in your measurement of the diameter anyway, so the result is only approximate. If the pie is close enough to being a circle, then assuming a perfect circle will give you a close enough answer.

i think your teacher wants you to assume its a perfect circle
so that formula should be fine
