Which is better .ca or .com domain name?

Assuming web site is aimed at Canadian audience / marketplace and name is available in both .com and .ca which would be your first choice?

    If your target audience is Canadian and Canadians are accustomed to typing in .ca addresses, run with it.

    For maximum benefit, get the .com, .net, and .org as well and redirect them to the .ca domain.

    This establishes your brand and prevents folks from profiting on your name recognition.

    Always go with the .com as the first choice if it is available. Sometimes if people are trying to remember the name of your website they will always try the .com first.
