Thanks for your sincere question. I have to first make a correction. BB is not the first Muslim PM/President of a Muslim country. Megawati Sukarnoputri was a President of Indonesia. from July 2001 to October 20, 2004.
2nd Why should America always concern itself with the Muslim World? When the U.S poke its noses in other countries' business the U.S always come out with poop on its nose. History will prove this. The Coup in 1953 Mohammad Mosaddeq was the sole cause of the Islamic Revolution and the hostage crisis. This nation also supported and helped the following gain power: Osama bin Laden (War with Russia /Afghanistan), Saddam (war with Iran), Pinochet........Our foreign policies have caused much blow back, as well as the type of distrust for our government.
3) We would have spent over a trillion in Iraq and Afghanistan are we better off? Your great grand kids will be paying for this in the future.
4) We need to spend more time on domestic issues

I don't think her death should affect the elections. It is easy for candidates to use their "expert " advice after the fact, but how many of the same people have urged the President to change his policies towards supporting President Pervez Musharraf and the billions given to Pakistan prior to the Assassination?
I think it will change the conversation, and folks like Mitt Romney will propagate their islamaphobic propaganda to win votes. It will show how candidates such as Huckabee don’t have a clue on foreign policy or the Islamic world.
Every event world wide should causes us to rethink our policies

ISLAM IS a faith OF PEACE. Benazir Bhutto grew to become right into a stable Muslim and she or he in no way tried to deliver the Islamic worldwide into modernity. Why do you need to blame Islam for such happening interior the worldwide?

As expected, both sides will use her murder for their political gain (which unfortunately might be a wise thing to do). Hopefully, the candidates will at least show a little class and sincerity when they inevitably use her death to advance in the polls. This situation will either make or break any them.

if any more pakistani leaders are assassinated, it could mean a plus for the republicans, as far as sending troops to pakistan is concerned. we don't want anyone getting their dirty little hands on those nuclear weapons.
best for guliani and mccain, though its against my inner want, it could help guliani more with the fact that he was the mayor during 9/11.

Please explain to me why it should effect the election process here in the United States? Are we all sitting on pins and needles to hear from the candidates? The real election is not until November and by that time the current Administration will have issued policy regarding Pakistan and the candidates viewpoints will not matter. Are you waiting on their responses to help you make your decision on who to vote for?
