What is the weather like in California during the winter?

Depends on what part of California. The Los Angeles area, for the most part, is warm during the day. The nights are are anywhere from chilly to downright cold, which is what it is now. However, you don't have to go too far outside of the LA area to find freezing temperatures. East (I believe) of LA, near/in the mountains there is snow. In So Cal we get very little rain, but in northern California it rains a lot. Hope this helps a little bit.

It really depends on where you are. Los Angeles is chilly and overcast in the morning, then it usually clears up around 10am, and gets dark around 6-7pm. Warm meaning mid 60s usually, but it changes a lot. In Northern California it's pretty much the same thing, except its colder, the daily high would be in the 50s. There's also quite a bit of fog along the coast in the winter, but all in all, the weather is amazing.

Overall, weather in SoCal is VERY mild. Right now, it's misting, but the news is calling it "rain". We just don't get severe weather here. If it gets into the 30s at night, it's a major news event. On average, you only get 10-20 days of rain per year, maybe a half inch at a time.
The nice weather is why people put up with the traffic and it's what causes such high home prices. I feel bad for people in the rest of the country that are getting hammered by snowstorms.

orange county is very nice. It usually gets just cold enough to put on some "winter" clothes. Rains once in awhile not often at all. Snow is about an hour or so away. Love it!

the climate is usually a splash chilly yet non violent. sometimes it rains. it is fantastic to bypass swimming in case you warmth the pool,in any different case its slightly chilly. there are various distinctive issues that it is truly useful to work out reckoning on kinfolk and age and all of that. some truly commonplace places are Sea international, the San Diego Zoo & the Wild Animal Park. i wish this helps!!! :)
