What should I see/do in Gold Coast, Australia?

I'm considering going there sometime during a trip to Asia for a week. Is it worth going to, what things are there to do/ "must see's"? Thanks

It would be so very easy to fill a week at the Gold Coast.

If you decide to come here I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

I'll give you some web sites to look at.

    Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

With more than 1,400 native Australian animals on display in natural bushland and rainforest settings, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary provides a rare opportunity to get closer to our amazing native wildlife.

You will find information on Gold Coast attractions, watersports, Gold Coast cruises, tours, shopping, golf, car rentals and a huge range of the best Gold Coast restaurants.

    Dreamworld Gold Coast, Australia

Home to Tiger Island, Nick Central, The Australian Wildlife Experience, Wiggles World, Big Brother, FlowRider and some of the tallest, fastest thrill rides in the world, Dreamworld is the ultimate place for family fun.

Web site for Sea World, Wet 'n' Wild, Movie World, Australian Outback Spectacular and Paradise Country.

You could also take a day trip, to Australia Zoo.

Operating seven days a week, the Croc Express is a fantastic way to get to Australia Zoo from the Gold Coast or Brisbane (pick up from all the major hotels). This friendly service allows you to relax in air-conditioned comfort while learning about all the sights along the way.

Depends on your interests....if you like the beach , sun &surf you won't find better anywhere.

If you like theme parks there is Dreamworld ....all the rides you would ever want for the price of the entry ticket.

Nearby is Amazons which is a water park...& next door Movie world where you can visit a movie set.

As far as I am concerned the best is Seaworld...trained dolphins , trick waterskiers & much more .

All of these are a day's entertainment....

If walking through tropical rainforest is more to your liking that is only an hour away & there are plenty of places that you can shop till you drop !

    Women's heaven !

If you only have a week here , you'll have no difficulty filling it but I am sure you can google any of the attractions mentioned to get a better idea of what they offer .

    Enjoy..

By the way...I was there yesterday on business , the weather is FANTASTIC !
