I actually disagree with the guy above me. I don't think he was seeking vegence (that's not very jedi-like). I think Luke was seeking an adventure, much like the young boys that enlisted in the wars of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was a farmer, with a farmer's life of taking care of the 'crops'. He wanted desperately to get out his uncle's home and see the universe.

As for his power, he obtain his power from himself and it takes the form of extreme confidence and will power in the face of battle (and getting the bullseye with his x-wing fighter).

His helpers are his mentor/father figure Obi-Wan; his love interest (yes in the first she was) Princess Leia; his competitor was Hans Solo who everything in life that Luke wasn't (brash, arrogent, adventersome); Chewbacca the loveable pet; and R2-D2 and C3PO the comic relief.

Luke destroys evil (ie the Death Star) by overcoming his fear and anxiety by channeling them into the 'force'. After he destroys the Death Star by using his talent he learned as a pilot back home he is treated as one of the great heros of the galaxy in a huge celebration.

    1. Does anyone know how Star Wars represent the process of coming of age???

It means taking that chance in life and making something out of you. Luke has this desire in Episode IV where he's stuck on a farm with his uncle and aunt and wants more out of his young life. He then meets Obi-Wan who challenges him to make something of himself.

    2. What does Luke Skywalker seek?

He seeks the life and adventure that his uncle and aunt are holding him from doing.

    3. From who does he obtain his power? What form does the power take?

His power comes from learning the ways of the Force and obeying the Jedi ways. The form the power takes is represented through his maturity.

    4. What helpers join Luke, what is his relationship to them?

Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan, Yoda and more. The list goes on. Luke is the central character in the original trilogy and every person he meets helps him and has a relationship with him. They all act as mentors, teachers and family to him.

    5. How does Luke destroy evil and what is the reaction to his heroic deeds?

He destroys evil by killing Darth Vader and putting an end to the Sith/Dark Side of the Force. He is humble and modest with his deeds.

    6. Finally what lessons does he learn and in what way has his adventures transformed him?

He basically grows up to become a man who had the power of the Force as his ally.

1.) IDK 2) Luke Seeks to become a pilot like his father was. He wants a life of adventure. 3)The force exist all around them it gives the Jedi there power...if you have the melcorines.

    4) Ben ken obi (His father Anakin Sky walker old master before he turned to Darth Vader) helps Luke throughout the movies. Leia his twin sister that was separated at birth so he knows nothing of. Han Solo and Chewy. Han is the pilot who was hired by Ben before he died. Chewy was Han co pilot.

5)Luke in movie 4 destroys the death star, movie five he confronts Vader and trains to be a Jedi, movie six destroys death star, changes Darth Vader back into Anakin Skywalker and anakin destroys the emperor. The reaction is the sith are destroyed and bring balance to the force. 6) He learns to become a Jedi Master and starts a Jedi trainee school were he can start a new generation of Jedi to fight off evil an sith to keep the balance.

i take it you are writing a paper?

luke seeks destiny. that word is used in star wars probably more than any other word.

luke obtains his powers from his mediclorian count. this allows him to use the force. the force gives a jedi their power. the power can take many forms, sometimes turning someone into complete evil (like anakin aka darth vader)

luke is joined by obi-wan kenobi, r2-d2, c3po, chewbacca and han solo originally. later, he is joined by leia organa and lando calrissian and kenobi dies. they are his friends and leia is his long lost sister, something they do not find out right away.

he destroys it by facing his father (vader) and killing him. the others are pleased.

he learns how to use the force and that anyone can start over again (since vader became good at the end) his adventures transformed him into a jedi master.

Luke seeks Justice and vengance for his uncle and aunt's murder.

He gets his power from within and it takes form through his mastery of the force. Not in the force itself.

Old Ben, c3po, R2-D2, Yoda, Han Solo, Leia, and eventually Anakin skywalker his father. Old Ben and Yoda as mentors, the rest as supporters.

He destroys evil by showing the one who is evil a way to redeem his past wrongs and rid the galaxy of more powerful evil. He reacts by forming an alliance to stop those who are evil.

He goes from moisutre farmer to student to master of an order based on honor and discipline.

    He grows up.

I would suggest that you "watch" the DVD of this movie. It is hard to explain every "crucial" point. I will tell you that I have watched it several times but for "entertainment." Each time that I have watched it, I have found "more things in it" that I had formerly missed. All in all, you won't be "sorry" that you took this action. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.
