Yes, there are a pair here at the complex where I live. They can get loud when they shrill, but are beautiful to watch when they do their mating dance. They also are really very pretty awesome up close. You can get within about 4 to 6 feet of them if you approach very slowly. Take a couple steps then stop, a couple steps than stop. If you are in a car and they are beside the road or in the road, you can pretty much drive right up beside them. If you ever get to see some, watch them for a while. You'll be glad you did.

Yes, about 40 days a year while I am out duck hunting. They are the most annoying things on the planet (even moreso than my ex) but they do sound alot alike
