What's your reaction to this quote?
Good, bad, indifferent, something else?

If you are like me and have the the worst memory ever then it is far easier to tell the truth instead of trying to remember what lie you told to who and what! So a good quote for all those truth tellers out there.

Good quote..so much easier at times telling the truth as opposed to making things up and having to remember what the story was.
Sometimes lies can get so warped...too many details are not always a good thing.

ALL SO TRUE. I agre with this. If you tell the truth, you most likely remember it as it is the tructh. BUT If you lie, then you MUST remember the lie as you always remember the truth, and if a person is a lier they have so many lies they have to remember they do get caught . BUT if it is the truth you don't hav to worry about it. So I AGREE.

I'm amused by the quote simply because Mark Twain's real name is Samuel Langhorne Clemens.
So do you think that he can remember all the lies he has told?

Excellent! You always have to elaborate so much when you lie that you forget everything you've said! Wise man Mr Twain!

LOL .... i like it. If find myself saying the same, or similar to that. it's a good quote, and i agree with it. it's very true!
[ i couldn't remember who said the quote though lol. ]
good stuff. ♥
it's always better to be honest. i never lie so i'm not worried about it LOL... but i've seen those that do lie, and it's like... they have to constantly add new things to their story to continue on with the lie. It's a shame, and very sad.

I understand the intent, but it's not true. When I tell the truth, I still have to fumble around to remember things. I've forgotten my socks. I forget my beloved children's birthdays. I've even forgotten my own birthday.

I think there is truth to this quote. I seems like you are putting un necessary work on yourself when telling a lie.
