Starting to lift weights?

What are 3 good lifts that I can increase muscle in my arms and chest and loose the big gut? I'm 5'9" and 160 lbs. I need to get washboard abs get rid of my man ta tas. Can anyone suggest a good work out for that?

Update:

I was thinking of bench press, curls and dumbell lifts.

    Compound lifts are the way to go...there are 3 main compound lifts that consist of Flat Bench presh, Squats and wide grip pullups. I always work these into my workout routine. Getting washboard abs is very difficult to do and will require you going on a diet and doing cardio to burn your fat. I did it in 3 months and so can you if you are dedicated to doing it.

    i would lift about 65 pounds
