nissan altima?

I'm thinking of buying a 95 nissan altima 'se' version, fully loaded. What do you guys think of this car? Also does anyone know if these cars come with abs brakes?

I don't know if abs is an option or not, but you do want to make sure that the passenger side airbag has been retrofitted by the manufacturer. The original had a defect, such that it hits the passenger with too much force. Ask the person selling it if it's been replaced. Even if it hasn't, Nissan will replace it for no charge - it was a factory call back.

Aside from that, it's a great car. I had one for several years that was a hand-me-down from my mom, who bought it new. Great car. Peppy, reasonably fuel efficient, roomy, comfortable, etc. The only reason I got rid of it is because I got a Subaru and didn't need the second car.

    I recommend it!

Very, very reliable car. The engine is rock soild and is equipped with a timing CHAIN vs a belt. Practically trouble free driving for over 180K before I sold mine. Unknown if ABS is an option, however, unless you live in snow & ice country ABS is totally wasted weight.

I had a 94altima. 2 years ago the springs fell out of it and it was undriveable. Be careful. It seemed the car was fine and then poof it fell apart! I couldn't even sell it, I basically gave it to charity for a parts
