Why is it this way when it is so easy to do?

Why is it that most people in asking a question or in answering do not check the spelling, espically when there is a spell check right there?? How many people are fed up with seeing something like "last knte i SLeept on the crouch"?

(If people find problems with my spelling or grammer, please let me know)

    Grammer? I believe it's 'grammar.'

Geez. And with a spellchecker right there! : )

I'm just having fun with you. Sometimes, I misspell words that are easy. I only use the spellcheck when I'm not sure if I spelled a word correctly. Those who spell "lyk dis" would never dream of using a checker.

If they would, the sentence you used would come out like this:

"last ante i slept on the crouch."

Eh, an improvement, but why would one sleep on the crouch?

I don't know why its that way .... But I'm with you. Maybe some people are in a hurry and don't take the time to use the spell checker... And I think some just feel like they are too smart to need it. Do you think maybe some people don't even know its there , or what its for ? And by the way .... you did misspell two words : especially , and grammar. Oops !!

    Especially, not espically

    Grammar, not grammer

I don't use a spell check in English because my spell-checker thinks I'm writing in Polish, with you can guess what results. Fortunately I don't have problems with spelling...

I know that not everyone is a very good speller. But how could you miss that little icon right there in the corner? Yeah I'd like to be able to read all answers, but honestly I skip over the ones that are too much of a hassle.

Well, I know sometimes I'm just in a hurry to answer questions and get the points, so i don't use it. Also, sometimes my computer lags and misses letters. Or, maybe they are just lazy or don't know what the check spelling is! Or don't care!

It's so sad that so many people can't put a simple, comprehensible sentence together, much less, spell!! I'm astounded at the ignorance out there!

I assume you didn't run the spellcheck on your own post because you were quoting a misspelled sentence, but you misspelled "especially" and "grammar."

And to answer your question, I think people forgo spellcheck because 1) spellcheckers aren't perfect and frequently flag proper nouns, etc. 2) they simply don't care about proper spelling.

It because, my dear fellow, that they do not have the necessary intelligence to spell correctly and so they try and play it off and mess up their entire sentence.

or probably kuz they're tired who knows
