Question for paper & pencil D&D players. Did you ever play a campaign with heroic, epic characters and adventures?
I played D&D for about ten years starting at age 12 and all we ever did was go around killing monsters and gathering loot. Has anyone out there ever played a campaign where you were playing characters who did epic, noble things and influenced events of the game world? You know, a Lord of the Rings style adventure. Virtually everyone I know who has played the game just played it as greedy, mercenary treasure-seekers with no concern for events in the world around them.

(I know this seems weird, but...) could some women out there tell me to do something?
So apparently I've just been hypnotized to follow any command or order given by any woman over the next 24 hours, as long as it isn't harmful to myself or anyone else. I wanna test it, and see if this is really true!
(Supposedly my desire to comply will overtake my ability to resist, and I'll do anything that any woman says.) Could some women out there give me some commands, and I'll see if this really works??? I'm really curious!

How do I tell a dnd group I want to leave? I'm DESPERATE ?
This DM is a first time DM and player. He ignores responses like "my character is scared, he runs to tell the party what he saw" and decides to run the game how he wants. He also mixes up a lot of information ("oh, the person turns into a creature and fights you" and an hour later "you still need to find and talk to that person") and doesn't fix it, just pretends it doesn't happen. He has a handful of issues and the party is unbearable. One girl has a working mic but still screams everything. Her normal talking voice is literally cut off by discord when she tries to say anything she's THAT LOUD. I'm going crazy playing with them. How can I GET OUT?

Am I in the wrong ?
Me and my boyfriend live together and he doesn't actually spend time with me. He comes home from work and plays Pokemon, all weekend he plays Pokemon or his friends come over and play guess ******* what? Pokemon. Last night I had a big talk with him about it. Explaining that people do what they want and it hurts me that I'm never what he wants to put time into. Anyways, I come home from work on break today, he plays Pokemon. I get home from work and my house is filled with him and his friends playing Pokemon. I'm very angry and fustrated as well as hurt. Am I that bad to spend time with? I just wish he'd love to play with me as much as he does his friends. I just wish for once that I didn't have to beg for love.

so im in my room alot i geuss. and they want me to spend time with them more. which is fair. but i find it so boring. and i dont feel comfortable using my device around them even though im not watching something innapropriate. and we did spend time going to the grocery store together, and going shoe shopping today. anyways, ill gladly come out of my room but, is there any way for it to be less boring? i dont want to watch tv. i told my family that its boring out of my room and they replied "i dont have to entertain you! so you have to be entertained or else your bored?" and then got mad at me. i geuss that was rude. im asking how to not be bored, because i genuienly want to leave my room more and spend time with them but i feel bored when i do.

Why is it illegal to put out word for DnD players who aren't high schoolers?
I'm looking to fill out my group with several new players, but the store owner we play at said I would be banned and reported to the police for discriminatory behavior, if I specified in my 'players wanted' post that I wouldn't consider high schoolers.
It's not because I hate kids or something, I just know that high schoolers are generally not as mature as the rest of us (35-50 range) due to not yet having the life experience, and thus, they may be more prone to creating or being drawn to unnecessary drama in and out of the game.

Why do people enjoy going to the beach?
Favorite Answer:Some people find it relaxing,
They enjoy the sound of the waves. Walking along the water line. Swimming
They like baking in the sun.
Plenty of games are fun to do on the beach.
Personally not my thing. I burn easily. Get heat stoke fast. And ocean water is just icky.
A night time stroll along the waves is nice.

can't wear a white bikini?
Favorite Answer:It might be because white can be see through when wet. Unfortunately even bikinis. Maybe try to ask them if that’s why and then if that why get a bikini that won’t be see through when wet?

What to do?
Favorite Answer:Learn to make cookies.
look at recipes, make a list of ingredients. Even if you don't bake anything now, it gives you an idea for later.
Make a bucket list. Everything you would like to in your lifetime. Sign and date it. See if you can do any of those things now? Can you plan some of them?
I want to go to on an Alaskan vacation. I've made a list of cruise ships. I could leave from Seattle, Vancouver, or fly to Anchorage and cruise back to Seattle or Vancouver. I've discovered a scenic train ride through a national park. I'm writing down contact information, dates it's open, and the cost. It will cost about $3,000 per person. So, it will take a minimum of 6 months of savings, but probably longer.
There's my goal. I'm still finding out what documentation I will need. passports? And what other activity will my family what to do? My son humors me. Sure mom, let's go zip-lining in Alaska, it's only $150 per person.
