  • How can I get people to pay me online after they've bought something of mine?

Okay, so I'm under 18 and am going to begin selling products (horse saddle pads) on Instagram because I have a lot of followers who are willing to buy them and sponsors lining up. But if they buy something from me, and I ship it to them (they obviously won't be local), how do they pay me? I was considering having my dad getting a Paypal to do it that way, but that's kind of a hassle for him. So is there any other way? PLEASE HELP! 10 points to best answer!

  • Questions about old Canon Rebel?

Hey! So I have recently gotten REALLY into photography and horse photography. My grandpa had a camera that he got that he let my sister use and never asked for it back so it kind of became out family's "nice" camera since it was the nicest one we had other than a 300mm camera that could only take 24 pictures before needing to be developed. So I've been using it A LOT lately since my sister has gotten older and isn't around as often. The camera is a Canon DS6041. Right now I have a 18-55mm lens on it because its really the only lens I have...

Anyways, so that's a little background info... Now my original question is:

If I were to want to buy a 75-300mm for my Canon, would I need to buy one specifically for this camera or could I just get a lens that was a Canon lens?? Do you think you could find one as an example for me?? Sorry, I'm really bad with all this camera stuff XD

Also, what's considered a good amount of megapixels?? I think my camera has 6.4 or something like that.. Just wondering :)

Sorry- another question... Do you think it's worth it to buy a new camera, or is this one pretty good?

Please answer my 3 questions! It'd be a HUGE help! Even if you can only answer a few :) THANK YOU!

  • Herd Sour Horse: Cant get him out of the pasture... HELP!?

    Hi there...

So my mom and started leasing these two horses the first week of June. The first day I jumped on and rode the one I would normally be using, an 8 year old Morgan that the owner's daughter and trainer had trained. Now the only problem is that these horses are being leased by 5 other families, most beginners, so they have some bad habits. I've been riding and working with horses for 5 or 6 years now and would consider myself intermediate (I know more and am very book smart but just need more hands-on experience) so, a week or so into the lease I began to put the 8 year old into the round pen because I wanted to create a better bond with him. The first day didn't go so well, but the next time I sent him around me (when it finally stopped raining!) and got him joined up and then got him used to the plastic bag and had a REALLY great day. Then the next time I went out I rode him in he indoor and he did super. Then TODAY when I went to catch him in the pasture, I successfully got him in a halter and lead rope and lead him towards the gate. He was doing really well until the gate came into view, he stopped and WOULD NOT go. So long story short, I spent an hour and a half trying to get him just to walk forward and he wouldn't come. I'm pretty short, so maybe he didn't think I had authority, I don't know... But I tried spinning him in circles, lunging him right there in the pasture, tapping him with the lead rope on the butt, as well as with a whip, and yeah... NOTHING. Finally a barn worker came out and got him in but by then the next leader was going to be there soon so I could only put him in his stall and leave. It was so frustrating... I tried to keep calm but I had no idea what to do.

If anyone has any advice at all, please let me know what it is! I'm going back out there tomorrow and could really use some help!

(Also he is in a HUGE pasture with like 25 other horses so that makes it hard)

Thank you! All answers are appreciated!

  • Question about a guy..? HELP!?

Okay, so this is kinda confusing, but hang in there... There's a point to this!

Alright, so here's the story: (I'm changing the names of people)

My friend, Amy, likes this guy named Justin. And I like this guy named Jay. Jay and Jordan, according to Jay, are "tight, yo" (yeah, he's a dork... But a cute dork;) ) and in other words, are pretty good friends. Well, yesterday I wasn't as school from being sick, and apparently Amy was with that friend group talking with Jay, Justin, and a couple of other people. She was REALLY nervous about being by Justin and said, "So... Jay, do you like Meredith (me)" and he was like "umm... No..." But apparently his face was read or something. So she TOTALLY TOLD HIM! And it had been prefect because Jay and I talked like everyday in Science (the only class we have together) and laughed and had a ton of fun, and now today, nothing. He COMPLETELY ignored me. Like I'm not even kidding, he would not look at me. And he used to say my name when he walked in the room in a funny way and we'd laugh, but nope. Totally ignored me.

So what do I do??? Should I talk to him about it (though I REALLY don't want to) or try and be outgoing and friendly towards him? Or should I just sit there and be silent? I miss him as a friend! I don't even really want a boyfriend right now, I just don't want it to be awkward. And I'm not going to be mad at my friend cuz yeah, what she said was dumb, but I'm not gonna ruin our friendship over a boy who probably doesn't even like me.

So yeah.. That's the story... Any tips of any kind?? All will be appreciated! :)

  • How to become friends with deer..?

Okay, so from looking at the title, you might think I'm either insane, or a troll, but I'm completely serious! There are woods behind our backyard, populated by TONS of deer. And just a few minutes ago I was sitting in a tree (I'm a pretty good tree climber) with my camera, hoping to maybe get a few far away pics. BUT, the deer came literally 5 feet away from the tree I was in and didn't see me until they looked up. I am wearing purple, so I was pretty obvious in the woods with trees. They made their warning call noise, but I stayed completely still. They didn't come that close to me again, but they were definitely trying to figure out if I was a threat or not. They're very used to people because they live in woods where there are a ton of surrounding houses. But of course they're not going to walk up to you, but I think it would be easier to get them used to me. So, my initial question is, how do I get them to trust me? I'm thinking of going out there every night and just sitting there watching them and if they notice me fine and if they dont fine, but I don't know... I was thinking of maybe buying deer or wildlife feed or something? I have no idea... Can anyone give me advice?

Serious answers only, please, I really want to know! Thanks so much! :)

  • Teaching my horse western.... have a few questions?

So I'm planning on teaching my QH western riding. He rides English right now, but I really enjoy gaming and want to try that with him. I don't have a western saddle yet, but I'm planning to get one this spring. For now, I've started him on neck reining and I want to know some other things we would work on that might come in handy for gaming.

I'm starting to build his stamina up and have started neck reining, but what else can I do without the western saddle? I won't be able to start the gaming patterns until late spring when the outdoor arena drys up since the indoor arena is too small and always busy...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • What are some good video editing apps for iPhone 4?

I just got an iPhone 4 one week ago. I love taking video of my horse and I've seen people edit their videos to make them really cool. So I was wondering if there was an app for the iPhone that allows you to edit videos (change video color, slow motion, fast motion, things like that). I know of iMovie, but I'm wondering if you can edit videos with iMovie??

So, ultimately here are my questions:

1.) what apps for the iPhone 4 are good for editing videos?? I want to be able to do the stuff I listed above (^) and hopefully more!!

2.) are there any websites for this?? I know they have picture editing like pic monkey and stuff, but any online video editing??

3.) can you use iMovie to edit your videos like the way I want to, or can you only line up multiple videos to make a movie?

    Thank you!!!

We are both major horse-lovers and know a lot about them and want to do something that involves horses. It's a pretty broad theme so I'm hoping we can find something... but I'm not sure what is out there... so if you have any topics, please tell me!!!

  • How much does a computer cost when.....?

Okay, so I want a computer, but I don't want like any of the Microsoft stuff and I really don't need anything except for maybe internet and storage space. I want to use this as my gaming computer since the Sims 3 doesn't work in my current computer. And I guess I don't really need internet.... it depends upon how expensive it is...

Also, where would I get a computer like this? When you look for computers online, is the price they list just for the computer, or are they including all of the stuff like Microsoft and Internet and stuff?

Please, no rude answers. I just want answers to my question. Trollers, find another question to write a silly answer on.

    Thank you!!

  • Can I do Join-Up with my QH?

I LOVE Monty Roberts' Join Up and want to be able to find a connection and understanding with my Quarter horse cross. He's 13 years old and trained, so I'm wondering if I can still do Join Up with him even though he's not a wild mustang?? If yes, I will probably get a subscription to EQUUS Online University and learn more about it. If not, maybe I'll try Clinton Anderson's or Pat Parelli's methods. But I'm REALLY into Monty Roberts' methods and hoping I can use his.

Please no rude answers or you saying your opinion. I want FACTS. (Not trying to sound mean, but I don't want ONLY your opinion. I want at least some facts.) I tried to figure it out, but can't find anything and don't want to waste $60 if I can't even do Join Up. I could use some of his methods, I know, but I REALLY want to do Join Up because it is AMAZING!!!

    Thank you in advance!!! :)

(If you don't know who Monty Robert's is or what Join up is, I highly recommend looking at the link below, its an example of Join Up. He's AMAZING!

  • Body language while free lunging a horse?

I've got a 13 year old quarter horse, and I've just started learning more about lunging. I want to know the basics of lunging and free lunging so that it'll be easier to do Monty Roberts' Join Up©. So, I've read books and stuff, but they all say move your whip and use your voice to make your horse do stuff. But what about the body language? I know to keep my stomach lined up with the horse's withers, but thats about it. There's something like stepping forward thats supposed to make them stop or speed up or something, but I have no idea. Thats why I need you!! How do you do it? How do you get them to speed up? Slow down? Stop?

And many of you will probably say, "take a lesson!!", but I will be. Its just that the lesson is not until next week, and I dont want to show up knowing absolutely nothing. I'd rather have my time spent on practicing on lunging and doing it than being explained all of the ques. Hopefully my trainer can just do a little review and then show me.

So.... What body language do you use while free lunging a horse???

    Thanks so much!! :)
