  • HEALTH PROBLEMS/EATING ISSUES?

What is up with the guy I work with. This guy I work with has some weird eating habits/issues, any thoughts?

He gets to work at about 9AM but within 30 minutes, you can be standing 5-10 feet away and you can hear his stomach growling, and I mean loud. I have never heard anything like it.

He goes to lunch in between 12PM or about 1PM. EVERY day, he goes to Wendys and has: a large soda, a triple baconator, and large fries. IMMEDIATELY when he returns from lunch break, it is like a crash, he doses off until closing time, gets bloodshot eyes, and easily gets irritated. He also started smoking recently and has a caffeine/coffee addiction. He is about 50-80lbs overweights but his body proportions are weird. His arms and legs are slighly large but his lower belly just pops out about 3 feet in front of him.

LASTLY, about 2 weeks ago, I though he had a stroke, I told him to label some bags with a price gun, simple task, and for about 1 entire minute, he froze, I was about 3 feet away calling his name, but nothing was there. No response, my eyes just saw right through him... He "blanked out" After that 1 minute, he told me he didnt hear me and didn;t remember anything.

All this with no exercise and he is in his early 30s.

  • 2x2 white ceiling tiles??

Hi, I am looking to replace all the 2x2 ceiling tiles in my store (about 3,000 sq.ft) The original ones are from the 80's and have turned from white to a dingy yellow color. They are the heavy duty armstrong brand with a foil like cover on the top. They are also heavy, a few pounds each.

When I was looking at new ceiling tiles. I couldn't believe how cheap they were. Half would bend or chip when installing because of the cheap cellulose and they all sag.

I am looking for a plain white or a textured plain white, lightweight, and economical 2x2 ceiling tile for my business. What would you recommend??

  • Are Americans the unhealthiest people on the globe?

70% of Americans are on some sort of prescription drug. The side affects are terrible. Robin Williams killed himself...Mass shooters all turn out to be on some sort of prescription drugs for an illness that seriously alters their mind.

    Now to the American diet...

Apart from constantly being bombarded from TV commercials from McD, Red Lobster, Dennys, Chilis, so much food is heavily processed and Americans don't know what portions are. Everything is burgers, french fries, chicken fried steak, and bacon.

I know people only in their 30s and they are already taking blood pressure and heart meds, are severely out of shape and act like they are 55.

When I went to the doctor for annual checkup, he noticed that my shoulders seemed "tense," without even asking me how I felt or more info, he already wrote me a prescription for a stress relieving med. Absolutely ridiculous.

The TV and radio is also filled with diets that show hot women that lose lots of weight but most of the people who end up on that diet regain the weight.

I know people who eat McD's or Chuck Wagon for breakfast and eat a huge meal at Chilis or Cheesecake Factory MULTIPLE times a week. It is IMO disgusting.

  • Is the SIG P229 magazine compatible with a P226?

I noticed that they both are in 9mm and have a 15RD capacity. Then I saw a CSI episode where they guy with a 229 gives his friend with a 226 his mag and it opportunely worked. I though the 229 was a compact 226 with a shorter barrel length and frame length?

  • Is there any "true" luxury/high end carmaker other than Cadillac in the USA?

Why do we only have Cadillac while the Europeans get Audi, BMW, MB, Maserati, Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, Rolls-Royce and Bentley.

  • When a cop pulls you over, doesn't he/she have all your info?

Why does the law, not so much the police, make such a big deal about driving without your license card, vehicle registration, or insurance? I always have all 3, but was wondering why you can get a big fine or points for not having a piece of paper. Aren't the DL, registration, and insurance accessible on the cop's laptop, the cop runs the plates, giving him the registration info and the driver info including the DL photo of the person. The registration info leads to plate no., VIN, registered name, and registered address on file, right?

  • Am I the only one who doesn't keep personal info in my car?

Almost every person who has a car keeps either their car insurance card or registration form in the glove compartment. If someone steals your car or even breaks in and steals everything in your glove box: they know your name(s), address, and all the vehicles in your policy. So if someone breaks into my $100,000 car for example, they know that I have another $100,000 car on my policy that is parked at my $1.2M house. *All these figures are examples* I'm sure there are people who break into higher end cars like Porsche Panameras, BMW 7 Series, and Maserati Ghibilis and look for all this personal info because they know there is $$$.

What is so hard about keeping the info in your purse or wallet. Most car insurance companies give out DL sized cards that fit into any wallet and the DMV can cut and laminate your car registration to keep in your wallet.

Am I one of the few who think about this?

  • Why does junk food gross me out?

I am 18 and have always been 10-15 lbs. overweight. 190LBS, 5'10. While I am far from obese, I am somewhat overweight. Last week, finally decided to do something about it. I have always liked filet minon, pizza, pastas, fish, desserts, and other fatty foods. Last week starting Monday, near where I work is a vegan restaurant, I have a green juice (spinach, apple, lemon, celery) shake every morning. Around 2PM, I have a quinoa soup, meal of the day, and a natilla dessert. I also have about 6-8 bottles of water a day. After 5 days of doing this, people told me I looked thinner, I am also not sweating so much while sleeping, and my clothes are looser. I usually skip dinner since I start starving around 7PM, and that is too late since late night food gets converted into fat while sleeping.

Anyways today, 1 week after starting my diet, I craved a Starbucks macchiato for breakfast and a Domino's pizza for night time as a reward for 5 days of strict eating. I found the coffee to be unappetizing and unnecessary and didn't really like it. The dominos pizza was great on the first few bites, but them I got a bit of a nauseous and "why did I just eat that?" feeling.

Is my body trying to tell me that I should not break my healthy routine and continue avoiding these fatty foods? Although the foods I once liked are delicious, I definitely feel less "pleasure" of you will from eating them.

  • Did I lose my taste of coffee?

I'm 18 and go to Starbucks a lot. I used to drink almost exclusively the iced macchiatos and frappuccinos. I'm latin and have never had American (black) coffee so I decided to start drinking a cup of iced black coffee from starbucks every morning for 2 weeks. For those 2 weeks, I hated it, it was bitter, too strong, had no flavor, and was only coffee beans and water.

THEN after I went this morning to go back to an Iced Macchiato, it tasted like f***** water. I had another one later, and that tasted liek water.

What happened is that I think my palate got used to the bitter, strong, and overwhelming black American coffee and when I try the creamier, milk-based coffee macchiato, it is tasteless.

PLZ help, do I just continue having macchiatos until my paladar becomes normal? I really do now hate black coffee, I don't even know why they call it coffee, grinding coffee beans and filter it with hot water, what a recipe.

  • Peru passport, US citizen?

I am 18 and was born in the USA and am a citizen. My mother, grandmother were born in Peru and were citizens until they came to the USA in the 1990s. What would be the process for getting a Peruvian passport but I do not want to renounce my USA passport?

  • JOE GARCIA comments?

    http://www.sunshinestatenews.com/story/joe-garcias...

Here is the video where he states that "communism works." My question is what is wrong with these people, are their mentalities so screwed up that they just blurt out BS and expect that since they say it in a presentable and intellectual-like manner, it will attract votes.

I find it ironic this is coming from a guy whose parents left Cuba when Castro's communist regime took over, and here he is saying how "it works."

As for communism, I fail to understand how someone can prefer a Soviet-Cuban-N. Koran system versus a Western Eurpean-North American-Australian... system.

  • Why is Congress basically made up of old white men?

We need diversity. Everyone seems to look like Joe Biden, Mitch McConnell, Harry Reid, or Newt Gingrich.

Will we see an increase in Hispanic, Asian, or black people anytime soon?

  • SCAR L vs HK416?

I think they are incredibly well engineered and reliable rifles. Why did the US decide to go mainly with the SCAR. I would think that they would choose the 416 since it is basically an improved AR15, just like the M4 and would be a much easier transition for servicemen. The military versions of both are made in the USA and the price difference is not far off, they also weigh close to 8 lbs. The SCAR ergonomically is very different, charging handle is different, stock is different, sights are different, ....

  • Why does the US military adopt Glock handguns?

I heard that it was because the Glocks are made in Austria, and in order to be fielded to U.S. forces, the firearm must be manufactured in the USA. (ex. Beretta 92 is Italian designed and was made in Italy until even today, the M9s used by the U.S. are made in Maryland.)

If this country barrier is true, why on earth would they restrict foreign firearms. Not to bash the U.S., but there are MANY things made overseas that are superior to American products. On my 4th BMW and each has virtually given me no problems, owned one U.S. car, '09 Escalade, 2 years later, it had to be lemoned for 45+ days at dealer under repairs. The most quality, polymer framed handguns are for Europe (they invented polymer handguns starting with HK), they gave us the MP5. Everything from Glock, SIG Sauer, Walther, Heckler & Koch, FN Herstal, Beretta from Europe vs. SMITH & WESSON and thats it. Springfield XD could also qualify, but that is European also. I would not consider Ruger a competitor because their handguns are POS. Does the US not like giving money to foreign countries because it hurts American manufacturing. If you ask me, let the domestic companies fail and have a change to improve their products. Look at GM recalls :(

The 1911, although a classic design, was retired and the special forces chose the Beretta M9(Italian) for its capacity, reliability, and MUCH easier to field strip, clean, replace parts.

If it was up to me, the entire US military would get Glock 17s or 19s.

  • Why can't my dad just leave me alone?

I am 18 years old guy. I am a good student with friends, no financial problems, and a happy person. But I have some really big issues with my dad. He is constantly pointing out things I do wrong/don't do and tells me how it should be. For example, I like latino music and play it in my car. When I sometimes go to work with him, he says something like "I can't stand this Mexican music" or "what are we listening to" and changes it without asking me. He won't even let me drive him to work likely because I have only been driving for a year. When I went to shoot a pistol at a range for the first time, he immediately pointed out that I wasn't holding it correctly and I had to Lear the right way. Also he nags me that I take 20 min in the shower sometimes and bags me about updating my iPhone iOS for security reasons. My mom sometimes tells him not to do somethings, but she does not know the extent of it. The scariest part is that I am subconsciously acting just like my dad to my brother, 10, and tell him stuff like why are you playing so many video games or why don't you pick stuff up after leaving the room. When I found out I was acting like my dad to my brother scared me a bit. I don't hate my dad at all I love him but in a different way. My mom on the other hand I love to death, she speaks nicer to me and nearly never criticizes me. My dad is American and my mom is Latina. I can tell that the cultures are very different from personal space to communication. Does this play a part?

  • Is Chrysler a European company now?

Chrysler was bought by Fiat Group (Italian) and the new Chrysler-Fiat HQ will be in London. Will the Chrysler HQ in Detroit remain? and will they keep producing cars in N. America? Since they are "owned" by Fiat, would Chrysler be considered a European marque?
