Is porcelain floor tile pet urine proof?

I know it says water proof but I was thinking about the grout if urine gets on it. Will it be able to be washed off and sanitized? I thought about vinyl flooring but the urine would get into the cracks. I have carpet now and my dog won't stop urinating on it no matter what I do. And no matter how much I clean it it still stinks so bad so I'm sure that is why he keeps going on it. Is there anything better to get than tile?

will i past the home inspection to adopt a cat?

the shelter i want to adopt from does home inspections first. I live in a trailer in a trailer park but the inside is very nice and clean. the only thing is we don't have a couch right now because when we moved states we threw out our old couch as it was worn. We haven't bought a new one yet. So when they walk in theyll just see the glass coffee table, we have a nice $300 area rug from lowes, tv stand and tv, fake tree in the corner. Our game room (2nd bedroom but we dont have kids) has a black futon, desk and chair and a tv and entertainment center. Our bedroom is standard clean bedroom with headboard and footboard, dresser, nightstand the works. The only thing is we dont have a couch in the living room right now and they may think that is weird... Will we still be able to adopt a cat do you think?

Are LED light bulbs worth the money?

Not so long ago, it might not have been so clear cut - as new technology, the prices on LED bulbs were quite high for a while, but now I can go to Ikea or a few other reputable retailers and get a replacement bulb for about £1. Now that we’ve got past the initial high purchase price, the money saving argument starts to work a bit better.

In my living room, I have two lights on the ceiling, between them using eight 5W LED bulbs, giving a combined power of 40W. If I was using 25W incandescent bulbs, the total power from my ceiling lights would be 200W.

Assuming that I use my lighting for three hours a day, 365 days a year and that I pay £0.14 per unit (kilowatt hour) of electricity, I would have paid £6.14 for my LED lights, or £30.67 just for the privilege of lighting my living room with incandescent bulbs, a yearly saving of £24 in just one room. https://www.euroledshop.nl/

Then there’s replacing the bulbs. I’ve lived in my house for about four years now and must have in the region of 30 LED bulbs dotted around the place. How many have I had to change?

How do I get rid of stuffed animals?

    Favorite Answer:

Wash and sanitize them very well, then give them to children.  Whatever feelings you’re holding on to will be replaced by the reward of giving to a little person who will appreciate it.

And you’ll go home knowing those stuffed animals will be loved for another entire lifetime

How to soundproof a garage turned into a bedroom.?

I live in a basement bedroom that used to be part of a garage. I’m not sure why, but I can hear everything that happens upstairs. If something rolls across the floor in the room above me, I can hear it. I get woken up every morning by my family just walking across the floor. I am a bit of a light sleeper, but it’s like noise is amplified down here. Is there anything I can do? I would really appreciate any advice you can give.

    Thanks!

State this in terms of a real example, such as the advantages of a carpeted vs. tile floor for a day care center. ?

If we will drop a glass  carpet floor it will not be broken if we drop the glass at tiles floor of a day care it will be broken because the tile floor don’t have enough padding it cause broken the glass.

    What colour side tables?

    Favorite Answer:

I see the nailhead sofas and imagine pulling that metal tone out to the side tables.  Whatever they are, a light bronze or copper...I would consider that direction.  Lighter than the seating, but not so drastic like white would be.

You desperately need a complementary color with so much brown.  Adding some yellow or teal (or both) with pillows, accessories, or wall art would go a long way.

Trying to replace my door. Size guide help? ?

    Favorite Answer:

When you buy a new door, you buy it with a new door frame.  You remove the trim from one side, cut the nails holding the frame in place and take out the frame with the door latched in it.  Then you put in the new frame with the new door in place, get everything straight and lined up, shim up the frame and nail it in place. Put the trim back one side.  The trim on the side you leave in place is sort of a guide to help you with the new frame.  Now, it requires some strength a 2 person job makes it easier.  You should have at least an inch of width around the door that you shim up.  You may need some small boards as well as shims.    Now somewhere in all of that you have to paint or stain the door.  That will require taking the frame off of the door (note) in order to coat them properly.  Finishing before installing makes things a lot easier.  I read your comment and my comment is you do not know what you are getting yourself into.  That edge of the door is beveled and you are talking about hand beveling a door edge and keeping it neat. Those carpenter skills no longer exist.  You will ruin your expensive door, and then go buy one in a frame, or call  a door installer to put in the door.  But you should do it because you are going to get stuck with painting/staining it, and you want to do that first.

How to make sleeping on bunk bed more comfortable?

    Favorite Answer:

As stated, a mattress topper will help, but your favorite pillow will also help.

Bed wedge for your head and legs.

A body pillow to snuggle against.

    Soft, fluffy comforter.

An air purifier in the room. An additional fan

A massage when you get up in the morning. (oh sure, it's not likely, but it does help.)
