I have a full-size metal futon frame at home. I would like to buy a regular mattress for it. Would a regular full-sized mattress be able to fit on the futon frame?

  • installing Radeon 9250?

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 and I'm trying to install a Radeon 9250 card. Unfortunately, I have lost the CDs over time so I just went to download the drivers. When the ATI software setup comes up it says: "setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software."

What hardware or software do I need?

  • Grayscale in Photoshop and old photograph?

I have an old black and white photograph from around 1900. The photo is old and has a reddish tint to it from age. I want to scan this image for someone else at a large size. I'm afraid the large size might make the photo MB output too large for me to send it to her. I was wondering, if I change the photo to a grayscale image in photoshop and then have the person change the photo back to RGB on their computer, will this result in any lose of quality? I'm hoping that they can mess around with the Color Balance to make it have that reddish tint again. Does anyone know how grayscaling and changing it back to RGB will affect the image?

  • A house dog or house cat?

I live in a two bedroom apartment and have been wanting a pet lately although I can't decide on what I want to get. I would prefer a dog, but I'm not sure if a dog would do so well as a cat. I am at work 8 hours a day so I feel a little guilty about leaving a dog by itself. Plus, are house dogs potty trained or do I have to take it outside? I feel bad forcing the dog to hold it in while I'm at work. lol I don't want a big dog obviously but something that will stay small in size...has good temperament. I don't have children so that doesn't matter. Something that wont' make a big racket while I'm gone or won't shed all over everything. A cat is more independent and I have to worry about taking it out less, although I one of the things I would like about having a dog is the ability to take it out on walks. Does anyone have any ideas on breeds that would fit my life style or which they think I should choose at this point? I have never owned a cat or a dog so I am completely new to this.

  • Plain yogurt for Indian dish?

I'm thinking of cooking an Indian dish which called for plain yogurt. I've seen yogurt sold at various specialty stores, but I was wondering if you could just use any plain yogurt you find at the grocery store. Would this be acceptable?

  • Did I get bit by something?

I noticed I had what I thought looked like a pimple on my leg this morning. I didn't think anything of it. Later I noticed that the redness and swelling had grown to about the size of a silver dollar. It hurts when touched and the area around the swollen part is a white color. Does anyone know what this it? I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach too.

  • How long does chicken salad last?

I made a homemade chicken salad. I roasted the chicken and put it into a food processor along with celery and onion. I added lemon juice and salt to help keep it a little longer. I did not add mayo to it. Instead, I put it in a container and then when I want a sandwich I add the mayo. I was wondering, in this fashion, how long could this chicken salad last? I was hoping up to a week.

  • multiple personality question?

People with dissociative identity disorder can have personalities that are very different from one another both emotionally and physically. This is kind of an odd question but... if the person has one personality that is a lot better at coping and doing things than the other(s), could the other personality or personalities consciously try to 'change' into that better personality?
