  • Bladder problems at 26?

Well, I'm no stranger to bladder and bowel issues, as I suffer from IBS and have had multiple lower colon scopes done. As a teenager I had an issue accidentally had my urethra nicked during a routine pap smear, ( Dr didn't really explain what he was doing, and I was suprised when he went in for a swab), leaving scar tissue, which in turn left me in an odd predicament of not having a straight urine stream, meaning if I don't wedge TP between my legs when I pee, it will spray everywhere. It caused me to have a bit of shy bladder and I would hold my pee way too long during the day, if I wasn't home. Now my bladder holds too much, and I find it hard to start peeing, sometimes I have to massage my bladder, and then I finish too early and have to sit 5-7 mins to wait for more pee, if I get up too soon to wash my hands etc, I almost pee myself and immediately have to sit back down. I plan to go see a different utologist as the last one didn't really help, ge tried to widen my urethra, which stretched right back. Just wondering, aside from the odd pap smear I had, if anyone else has problems urinating like that? And what they can do to fix it?

  • Implantation bleeding and cycle tracking?

Ok, here is the scoop. My husband and I have been TTC since October 2011. I went off the pill May 2011, and unfortunately my periods have been all over the board, cycle wise. I will have a 28 day cycle, then a 44, a 33, one was 48, last month was 25. I know I will have to start tracking ovulation better if nothing happens this month, it's hard for me to know when I ovulate. My first day of my last period was January 25, I am going on day 38 in my cycle, and the last day we had sex was Feb 15. Two mornings ago I had a bit of light spotting and then nothing, no period or anything, took 2 tests, they were negative. How long would it take after implantation for the HCG hormone to show up? And is it even possible that I would have implantation bleeding at that time, 15 days after the last time we had sex? My journey to pregnancy is very frustrating and confusing to date. Next month if nothing happens this cycle, I will have to start using a basal themometer and charting :(

  • My parents are divorcing and it's devestating ?

Hi, I'm 26, and about 2 years ago I mistakingly found out my mom was cheating on my dad. My mom and dad had been married for about 30 years, and I am pretty family oriented, so it was a pretty devastating senario for me. I told my husband right away, and we went to my pastor for advice. I didn't want to hurt my dad, so ended up knowing for about a year and a half and not telling anyone, eventually it got to a point where I couldnt live a lie anymore, and the secret was crushing me, especially when my mom would go for after work shopping trips, and my dad would wonder where she was. I got a therapist, and she walked me through what I thought was the right thing to do, which was confront my mom, and I did it infront of my Dad, as I didn't want to play sides. Now their house, my family home for 21 years, had just sold, and the divorce is in the final stages. How do you deal with this? My relationship with my dad is good, and my mom, well we talk and get along, but it all seems so fake, like there is still a big elephant in the room. She plans to date and stay with the man who she was cheating with, and he also did the same thing to his family. She has never really apologized or seen the impact this has caused. I am not like a normal kid stuck in a family divorce here, I'm grown, married, and have set boundaries with my parents, but I still feel like im floating, and it's not real. When will things feel normal again, when life with just go on? I'm trying to make my own traditions and memories, but since the separation in August, it's been tough.

  • Kitchen Paint colours, need to go with or match lights?

So we bought a house over a year ago, with these hanging light fixtures in the kitchen that are a deep yellow, almost an amber tinge to them. The kitchen is yellow right now with cream doors on the cupboards. The paint is old and nicked is spots and needs to be redone. The hanging lights can't be replaced, too much work, even with a husband who is an electrician, and bot enough room in the budget. I'm looking for some ideas of colours that will go with these lights. I'm leaving the ceiling it looks fine, but need a colour for the walls and cupboard doors. I'm taking any suggestions!

It's a very similar yellow the the yellow hanging lights in this persons blog, about 3-4 pictures down.

  • We are trying to concieve, and looking for signs and symptoms?

My husband and I are trying to conceive, month number one is done, we are waiting to see if I will get my period or if we get lucky :) I know in reality they say it takes 3-6 months, so the odds are we are not pregnant, but I am trying to find out what seems to be some of the normal signs and symptoms of early pregnancy. I am supposed to get my period tomorrow, and from may to sept had 28 day cycles, randomly October went 45 days, so I didn't even really know if I ovulated for sure, which I know there are ways to find out. I noticed a brownish pink discharge a few times today and I'm not very bloated or sore breats, acne not bad like it is on my period. So I don't know if it's period or implimanation. Anyway, a newbie here, so looking to see the norm.

  • Negative pregnancy tests, but still two weeks late, atleast?

So I went off the pill in May 2011, in preparation for my husband and I starting to try and conceive this month. Since I have been off the pill I have had 3 day periods about every 28 days with some cramps. At the beginning of September my period was very light hardly any cramping, and only two days long, I didn't think much of it, and now I am a week and a half late in this cycle and on like day 43 of my cycle as opposed to the usual 28. I took 3 tests last week, all negative, I took one in the morning and two later on in the day on different days, and another this evening which was also negative. I made an appointment at my doctors for blood work. So I am not sure if I am preggers, or just not ovulating. I keep feeling like I am going to get my period, but it doesn't come. I am broken out, sore breasts, especially the nipples, and a little bloated. No sickness or nipple colou change. If I got preggers I am thinking it would have been in august around the 19th, we had a condom fall off and i was ovulating that week, but nothing here seems to be text book. Do the tests not always work? I would be almost two months if I was, and you would think that would show up by now! Very frustrated!

  • Depression Medication?

Hi, I have not been to the doctors yet, but I am pretty sure I have depression, possibly seasonal depression. It is effecting much of my day to day life, and is something that I would really like to get taken care of, so I can pick myself up and move on. We are planning to have a baby in the next 2 years, and I am not sure that going on depression medication is the best thing, because I am worried about it being in my system, even if I go off of it to get pregnant eventually. I am just totally unsure of what to do in this situation, will depression medication really make a difference? I am so embarrassed to go to my doctor and tell him that I think I am in need of medication because I have psychological issues that I know I can't control. Looking for some guidance here...? Is there anything natural that I can take or do? We are getting a dog in June for something to help us through this time, and I would like to get out and enjoy things more, but am finding it difficult.

  • Head Lice HELP Please?!?

I work in education with children with special needs, some come from poor families with bad hygiene, hence head lice. I caught head lice at a different school I worked at about 3-4 years ago and got rid of it. Since then I have put tea tree oil in my shampoo bottle which is supposed to be a deter ant to lice from wanting to nest in your hair. I put about twenty drops of the oil in my shampoo bottle when I first buy it and shake it up pretty good before I use it so I don't get all the oil in one use. This week my head has been really itchy again, with red patches no larger then a sesame seed on my scalp, I have been wondering if I have caught lice from a student again. I have been looking for nits and haven't seen too much hard evidence yet, or if I might be having a reaction from the tea tree oil in my shampoo, causing my head to itch and get red spots. I can treat myself for lice and run the comb through my hair, but it is a lot of work cleaning the entire house and all my clothes etc.....so I am trying to figure out what to do here. I saw one piece that could have been a nit in my hair, but it also could have been a clump of hair spray from this morning.....any ideas?

  • My head Phones Keep falling out of my ears?

So I work-out and run quite often, and I keep buying different sets of head phones to wear in my ears, the sports type that latch around the outside of your ear to keep the headphone in. I can't stand the other types of phones, I find them big and bulky, I like the smaller size. I don't know if it is because I have small ear canals or what, but nothing will stay in there, they always pop out, not all the way, I just have to gently push back on them, but they don't fit snugly. Do they make kids ear phones that might fit me better? I need something, the headphones I have now suck! I really do have small ear canals, I know that for a fact, but surly there is something out there to fit.

  • What is the best way to take Metamucil?

I have to take metamucil for B.M issues, as I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Tried the capsules, they were like horse pills, I couldn't get them down, so now I am doing the powder, which is really gross in water and it was okay in juice. I was wondering what is the best liquid to take it in, which I will not notice it. Or if there is a better fiber supplement out there. I am all ears!

  • Putting Tea Tree Oil in Shampoo as a natural Lice Repellent?

I just bought some tea tree oil to use as a lice repellent in my regular shampoo. How many drops do you think would be reasonable in a regular sized shampoo bottle? I know some people say so many drops per fluid ounces, but I want to know around how many per a whole bottle, and should I put it in my conditioner as well?
