I'm a Canadian mom of one 12-year-old boy, 2 cats and a bird. I've been an Admin Asst. for 23 years - been on computers since '81 (remember 8" floppies and card punches?). Love MS Office stuff especially Office 2007 and would love to become an instructor or corporate trainer. Recently have been creating 3D animation using very cool Daz Studio and Mimic software. i really enjoy helping people find solutions. A word of advice to people posting questions: be specific, tell us exactly what you want, what version of software you are using (Office 2007 is completely different than Office 2003), what operating system (Vista, XP, etc.) you are using. This will help ensure great answers. One more word of advice - in your profile you can select "allow users to contact me via e-mail". This is a very useful option to have selected and nobody can see your e-mail address. This allows answerers to help you further if needed. Thanks for looking at my profile. See you around.

  • Why do cats play patty cake? Is it agression or just play?

I have two cats who play patty cake - basically they paw at each other's paw - first one paw, and then the other. It is very funny to watch but I was wondering if it is a sign of agression or is it just play. One cat is 2 years old the other is 1 year old - both are males. They are best buds although they have wrestling matches once in awhile.

  • A challenge: How do I set a timer on my laptop to stop music (Winamp) at a set time?

OK, I'm spoiled. I want my laptop beside my bed at night with music playing in Winamp. I want Winamp to stop at a certain time (like the sleep function on an alarm clock). It can be a set time such as 11:00 p.m. or it can be number of hours such as 1 hour. Can I setup a task for this (the whole laptop can be shut down as well - it doesn't matter)? If so, how? If not, do you know of any other software to do the trick?

P.S. My OS is Vista (I love it so don't slam it please).

  • Questions about setting up and using Media Center in Vista...?

I just bought a new laptop (uses Vista) that has Media Center loaded into it. I've never worked with MC before and would like to know how to set-up the online music feature. So far I've only been able to bring up DVDs, Vista games and the photo and video samples that came with the computer. I haven't been able to find a help menu on it and it didn't come with a manual. If someone knows a site where I can find this info it would be appreciated.
