  • How much money do you think it should cost me to build a 17Ft x 17Ft wooden deck in my back yard?

I recently hired a contractor who had been doing some work to my home to build a 17Feet x 17 Feet wooden deck in my backyard.

The deck has two staircase entrances. It probably comes off the ground about 3 or 4 Feet high.

The contractor charged me $3,000.00 for the entire job that included his labor. The problem is that he has finished the building of the deck, but he did not stain it or include side panels on the bottom portion around the underside of the deck.

Should the painting and the closing of the bottom of the deck beincluded in the work? He told me that he would need to charge me another $3,000.00 to stain the deck, place paneling along the bottom sides to close it off, plaster those paneling sides and build a small bar that I want included on the deck.

The total for the deck is averaging out to about $6,500...Is this fair, or am I getting overcharged? Please Help!

  • Should Board members be challenged to pay membership dues?

I am the founder for a small non-profit theatrical company. I have a board membership of only (7) members and this includes myself.

I realized that I we were not winning enough grants or getting enough donations from public or private entities to cover our cost of producing plays. As a result of this, I then asked my board to pay a membership fee. I did this also because some members were not pulling their weight, i.e. bringing in patrons, audience or materials.

I asked each board member(including myself) to pay a membership fee of $1000 yearly. this fee can be paid in small increments throughout the year and it would help to build some unresrtictive dollars that can go to things that cannot be touch by grants or foundation money. This, I believed also would show a sense of commitment. Please share your thoughts on this. Is this the right way to go?

  • Should land taxes and home insurance be combined in a mortgage payment? What is more economical?

I have a mortgage payment that includes my taxes and insurance. Is economical for me? I spoke to a realtor friend who said that I should separate them to save more money. Is he right or should keep them together?

  • What Are The Top Ten Most Powerful Superhero Teams In The History Of Comics? For Best answer tell why.?

Wizard magazine released their top ten a few years ago and i really don't remember their standing. I do remember it was pretty accurate.

Your answers should only be limited to comics. If these comics became cartoons that is fine too, but they must be from comics.

Here is my list from the least to the greatest:

    #10 The InHumans

    # 9 X-Factor

    # 8 Teen Titans

    # 7 The Defenders

    # 6 The Fantastic Four

    # 5 X-Men

    # 4 Justice Society of America

    # 3 The Avengers

    # 2 The Justice League of America

    # 1 The Authority

Honorable mention goes to Nick Fury's Shield, GI Joe, Batman Family, Transformers and The Thundercats.

  • What Is Your Favorite Comicbook Character Costume?

This question was inspired while watching the Justice League. I have a few favorites, but if I had to choose only one it would be Dr. Strange's costume. Its cool.

I also like Blade's costume. Wesley Snipes' Blade or Blade The Series costume.

The new Black Panther costume is slick as well.

Always liked Batman's and Thor's too.

  • What Superhero in all of comics is the most powerful?

Several years ago, Wizard Magazine featured their top 10 most powerful superheroes.

I don't remember the complete count down, but I do recall that The Hulk was #10, Professor Xavier was #9, The Flash was #8, Dr. Strange was #7, Green Latern was #6, I cannot remember who #5 was, I believe The Mighty Thor was #4, Wonder Woman was #3, Superman was #2 and The Silver Surfer was #1.

Do you agree with this list? I do, with the exception of maybe The Flash....maybe.

    What do you think?

  • What Did Comicbook fans think of Ultimate Avengers 2 DVD?

The Ultimate Avengers 2 DVD featured Captain America, Iron Man, The Black Widow, Giant Man, The Wasp, Thor, Nick Fury and the Incredible Hulk.

The story centered around aliens coming to earth to the vibranium found in the African country of Wakanda, home of the Black Panther. The first Black Panther, T'Chaka is assassinated by the leader of the alien force whom takes the shape of an evil Nazi General. The son of T'Chaka, T'Challa takes over the throne of his slain father and becomes the current Black Panther.

Much enfolds in the way of background. The fact that this evil Nazi has a strained history with Captain America, that goes back to the 1940's. T'Challa's Wakanda people has no faith in their new king, Thor is having his usual conflict with his father, Odin about his alliance with the humans of Midgard, the military is attempting to keep Bruce Banner's Hulk tamed and at bay, Giant Man and the Wasp are still working through their issues and Tony Stark is drinking heavy.
