  • getting rid of rabbits?

we live in Mississauga, ON. there is lot's of green areas around here, occasional squirel, skunk etc. but the recent issue are bunnies. lots of them...

yes those cute brown little critters. they are mowing everything we plant and now they even decided to live with us and chew on deck, sun room and everything in sight. had no idea they can be such a plague. what can i do to get rid of them? they are all cute hopping around cars etc but the damage and all the noise they make is finally making me draw a line - they have to go.

  • NTGraph3D (OpenGL) color?

i am working on some project requiring 3D display to plot surface.

NTGraph3d does just about everything I need and it has quite simple interface:

    http://www.codeproject.com/KB/openGL/ntgraph3d_atl...

The problem is setting color of the element. It always seem to be applied to all elements not just selected one. This makes features of the surface not recognizable. All I need is to plot surface where elevation is different color. Any more effects (lighting, shades, etc.) is not essential. Any help?

  • Question about Serial Ports?

    Hi everyone,

I am working with embeded systems and serial ports are unavoidable (still). New computers come without serial ports but one can add then in form of USB adapters for example.

My old units work just fine but I just got two more USB-serial adapter from Ultra (ULT40315).

They install and work like charm but there is a problem - these units show no Resources tab in Device Manager. This means that one cannot check assigned base address or interupt.

So is there a utility that can list out assigned resources?

Another question is, is there utility that will name application or process that currently uses certain serial port?

(Btw. This machine is running Vista 64-bit.)

    Regards,

    p.

Addiitonal info. I was also trying to reassign high COM ports to lower values (COM2 for example) but for some reason port would no longer work (with or without reboot). Once configured back to roiginal Com number, it would run normally. This is just weird, I think I've tried everything, I'm starting to think about reinstalling OS (which I don't have time for now)
