This may sound silly, but my boss routinely makes me stay 5 - 10 minutes after my shift... Of course I know I'm entitled to overtime after a certain point, but what IS that point?

It doesn't seem right to be made to stay... but I know I sound trifling to complain about 5 minutes. What do you think? What is the law in Ohio?

My mom's Ford Escape needs a new engine. It's going to cost $4K. Unfortunately she is still paying on this car, so scrapping it isn't an option. Her bank tells her that they do not give personal loans and "nobody does anymore".

I thought I had heard of some charity program somewhere in my travels that helped people pay for car repairs so they could get to and from work. I can't find anything with google, so I'm turning to you, my yahoo answers community. Have you heard of anything? Did I imagine such a program?

My boyfriend just brought me a potted mum as a gift. It is in a pot with soil. Can I dig a hole outside and plant it?

I'd like to get out of dodge from time to time and I don't really care where I go.

Do you think it is OK for parents to go out and leave their child with a babysitter or a family member every weekend? Every other weekend? Or maybe just once a month?

Obviously there's not one right answer, I just wanted some opinions.

Or a priviledge? Do you think it is ever acceptable to take away this ability from someone without their consent? What about programs that offer financial incentives for sterilization? What about conditional (somewhat coersive) sterilization - like if a mom abuses her first child, she could avoid or minimize jail time by agreeing to be sterilized...?

I really want to get the iconic Vegas sign tatooed on my lower back. (I lived in Vegas for 8 years and it's the home of my heart.)

It seems like the lower back is the only place that this will look nice - but I dont' want a "tramp stamp".

What are your thoughts? Do you think lower back tattoos are always trashy?

There are a lot of Muslim women in my community and they wear very stylish hijabs... they look so pretty! If I chose to wear one just for fashion reasons, would I be making light of their culture? I don't want to offend anyone.

Does it cost money? Does it get you through the door faster? Are you expected to buy some expensive bottle of Chrystal once you are in?
