Where in the US should I move with my first job after grad-school?
I have a unique opportunity: I am just completing my Masters degree and have secured a job which allows me to basically move anywhere in the US. This is both exciting and a little overwhelming; I've lived my entire life on the East coast, and wouldn't mind staying, but I think it might be exciting to move cross-country to the West.
So, I'd like to ask your advice: where would you recommend I move based on these "criteria" that I would like out of a city:
-Size: I'd like to live in a medium-to-large sized city with an active music/arts scene (I'm an indie musician) and a good "singles scene" (I'm young, and attractive girls is certainly a plus). An airport/good transport links is important.
-Location: Ideally the West Coast or the East Coast; I'd love to live somewhere without harsh winters. I'm not very interested in the Southern US or Southwest, but could be open to suggestions (I love Austin, but Texas wasn't my taste). Sun is nice, but I can endure the rain.
-Cost of living: my starting salary is low (at least for the first year or two), so around $35K. Cost of living is a serious consideration BUT I would be willing to cut costs by taking on roommates if it meant living in a cooler city with more opportunities. I'm very career-minded, so I'd like to live somewhere (or near other cities) that offer opportunities.
This is such a big decision, and moving to the West coast might mean being distanced from friends/family, but I'm young and this might be my only opportunity to give it a go. I'd appreciate any/all suggestions!
Other - Careers & Employment8 years agoMy parent's credit card is showing on my score, but I'm not on the account anymore. What can I do?
Five years ago my parents included me on one of their credit card accounts out of convenience (I was helping them, and the card allowed me to purchase things for them).
However, I've since removed my name from the card and am NO LONGER on the account. But the card and the debt still shows up on my credit score.
I only have a few cards with low debt amounts to my name. So my score would be very good if not for this additional $5000 in debt. The credit card company says that despite my name not being on the account, that the debt will show on my account FOREVER.
This is disappointing! What can I do?
8 AnswersCredit9 years agoWhy is there pain around my left testicle and and at the tip of my penis after ejaculation?
Hi, I'm a 22-year old, normal and healthy guy.
About a month ago I started having this problem... it feels, every so often, like a tingling around and below my left testicle... when I am erect, it becomes much more pronounced and often sends this sharp feeling from below my sack to the base of my penis. This is painful and very strange feeling. It is uncomfortable and it feels almost like when someone kicks you in the nuts, but not nearly that painful... but in that same sort of area. Then, when I ejaculate at the last "spasm" there is a sharp, strong painful feeling in the tip of the penis as the last spurt of semen is ejaculated from the tip of the penis.
This went away for about a week, and last night I had the issue again.
I want to thing it isn't anything to worry about, but has anyone else had a similar experience? It concerns me.

My college does not provide me with .edu addresses and I need one for some of the work I need to do. Is there a service that provides college students with .edu emails?
