I have a bill that is due from my dentist office this coming Monday. I have no qualms about paying it but on the bottom of the bill it says the dental office accepts credit cards and checks, and just beneath that says: "account number:" with a blank fill-in space next to it as well as a place to put the expiration date of my credit card (and "amount enclosed"). This is stupid I know but I've never paid a bill this way before, I've done everything else online. Can I just put my credit card number down in that blank space and mail it off and it will be paid? I realize I could just call the office and ask but they're closed on Fridays and this is more out of curiosity than anything. Any ideas are appreciated, thank you!

Okay, I've been dating my boyfriend for three years now. We started dating at the end of high school, now I'm almost done with college and our entire relationship has basically been long-distance with the exception of summers.

I feel like I've missed out on the good parts of a relationship because of this, because all I get are stupid texts from him that ask the exact same thing every single day and calls every once in a while. He says he loves me all the time, which frustrates me because it's almost meaningless when he says it anymore. So yes, communication issues are a major part of my relationship, but whenever I tell him that I don't appreciate being told that I'm loved 3 times in a row in the same text-conversation for no reason, or that I don't appreciate being the one he always texts because he's bored, he gets mad and says I could have told him all this earlier, which I have.

See, here's my problem. I've been in college trying to better myself *keyword there being 'trying'*, while he's just been back home working the job he's been at since he was 16. He's gotten few raises, yet he says the whole team at work would fall apart if he wasn't around which I think is a lie. He also works as a mechanic part-time, but that job isn't going anywhere because he has no vocational training for that and of course people who have that training will be hired over him any day for more important jobs. So while his life is stuck in a rut, I'm over at college trying to figure out my life and trying to decide how I can apply to my major to the career I want. I feel like when I graduate and come back home for good, we're not going to have anything in common except for the fact that we went to high school together.

There's also the difference physicality *couldn't find a better word, sorry*. My boyfriend constantly talks about sex, places he wants to do it, and how we should do it. He's always touching me when we're together inappropriate places, even when we're out in public. This pisses me off and I tell him so every single time (and there have been times when I just go off about it), but he doesn't take me seriously. If you think I'm a pushover then you're so right! I don't even like having sex because to me, it hurts, and when I tell him this he just says, "well think about me, I make sacrifices for you, you've got to think about my needs, too," which is so stupid because he doesn't make sacrifices for me and I'm sorry, but if it hurts me then he shouldn't be pushing for it, right?

So, I think I need to break up with him because I think our relationship is very unhealthy and we do not see eye to eye on almost anything. The problem is, I'm a very shy person and over think the future way too much. I know I shouldn't care about it, but I've got his mom and sister to deal with online, whom I'm sure will post nasty things about me once I break up with him. He's going to act like he did nothing wrong, and somehow this is going to be all my fault, but honestly, I can't really take all this anymore. I'm so sick of having to listen to his pointless conversations, 90% of them about being a horny guy, and I'm tired of having to give him sex when I really, really don't want to. I feel disgusted with myself every time after we do it, and I don't like that feeling. So to me, I can't give him what he wants in a relationship and I'm so pissed that he's never understood that and hasn't moved on already.

So does anybody have any good advice to give? Does our relationship seem like it's gone on for way too long without being checked on? I want to break up with him not because he's a bad person but he's not my type of person, and he doesn't deserve to be bitched out when I do it.

So I've had my iPod for a little over 4 years now, and if I've got it plugged into my iHome dock, it usually works for a long time. However, when I take my iPod off it and actually use it like it's supposed to be used (i.e., walking to class, going anywhere...things like that), it has a tendency to freeze and just start acting up in general after a song or two, and in some circumstances after using it for an hour. I don't know why it happens, but the screen will freeze on wherever it's at, and my iPod will emit this weird sound, kind of like an electronic gurgling.

I've tried to fix this problem by restoring my iPod via iTunes, but when I plug it into the computer and it starts restoring, the iPod starts to make a different sound, sort of like what I'd imagine hovercars would make if they were passing by (and they were real), and it only happens when I move the iPod around, like up and down and such.

So then when the restoration is complete, sometimes my iPod will work for a while and then go kaput like before, and sometimes it'll just not work at all, and I'll let the lame thing die, then charge it back up on my iHome dock because that's helped before.

So my questions I think, are:

1-Do the sounds my iPod's making mean there's some kind of internal problem?

2-Is there a way I can salvage my iPod until I /want/ to pay for another one (that's 2 years away)?

3-Or do I need to send it into Apple despite it not being under warranty? How much do you suppose it would cost to get fixed if it needed a new battery?

Details on my iPod:

It's either a 3rd or 5th generation classic model, I'm not exactly sure, but I bought it in 2005 and it was apparently the first video version for the classics. It'sthe 30GB version, also, and 17GBs of it is filled with music, meaning if I were to get a new iPod, it'd have to be the expensive 32GB iPod touch or the classic 160GB version. I really don't want to buy another one just yet. There's a bazillion scratches on it cos I bought it in high school and I wasn't very careful the first year I had it (someone ripped the original apple earbuds out by partially stepping on my bag...which contained my baby ipod...). But I would think that if that was part of the problem, it would've culminated ages ago, like during that first year of ownership.

Anyway, I'm just curious to know what my iPod's doing (as in, if it's trying to commit suicide or not lol), and if it can be fixed or if I need to get a new one. Any info or advice is appreciated.

It was really weird! So I was moving my macbook over and I accidentally yanked the headphone plug-in out. That's happened before, but this time when I put the plug-in back,all of the sudden all programs froze, the screen dimmed, and an info box popped up telling me in 5 languages that I needed to force my computer to shut down-now. It seriously didn't give me a reason, it just said I needed to shut down! I tried to click out of it, or make whatever had happened quit, but nothing worked so I did like it told me to and forced my macbook to shut down.

Fifteen seconds later I turned it back on, it loaded normally and even let me log on again. As soon as I'd logged on, though, another info box popped up, telling me that there'd been an error causing the computer to shut down, and that I could send a report to Apple. I checked the details of the report but nothing in it was very helpful to me, as I don't understand computer code, especially code for Macs.

Anyway, I sent the report to Apple just because, but now I'm concerned that something's wrong with my computer! It's only two years old, and it was just recently at the Apple store where a 'Genius' *who convinced me I needed to backup all my info on an external hard drive for 90 bucks to speed my comp up, btw...I went in there to see why my disc slot wasn't working* installed the newest version of the OS. I know I haven't taken pristine care of my laptop, but it's not like I've been throwing it against alley walls, either. Is there some kind of internal meltdown going on in my computer or am I just becoming paranoid since I'd never seen the type of warning that came up?

So here are my questions?

1-What was that forced shut-down all about?

2-Does it mean anything important, like is my computer dying a slow and painful death?

3-Accidentally knocking the headphone jack out wouldn't have had anything to do with it, would it?

I've been trying to burn a playlist onto a CD from iTunes for over an hour now and I have now idea why it won't work, it's making me frustrated!!! *throws stack of perfectly good blank disks*

Anyway, here's the issue:

I'm trying to burn a CD with about 13 songs which equals out to about 48 minutes somehow, and around 92 MBs. This is no problem for the disk as it says it's capable of holding up to 80 minutes and 700 MBs. So I'm using iTunes so do this, and I say I want to burn my playlist. I pop the CD in right after I asked it to burn the list, it gives me some options for burn speed and all, I pick 12x because the last time I had problems with burning a cd, that's how I fixed it. Anyway, so the burning process starts but then it stops a couple seconds later and iTunes acts like it burned the cd because it says "finishing..." at the top of its screen. This is frustrating because I'm not sure why it won't work. Yes, I've got songs I purchased from iTunes on the playlist but I've been able to burn disks before with purchased items, I don't see why now would be any different!. So anyway, after my mac spits the unused disk out *for the umteenth time* iTunes has a warning message pop up that says something about the disk being unreadable and it can't do anything about it.

Does anybody know what's wrong, or how I can fix this issue and just burn my CD? All I want is some dang k-pop and it's just not working, lol.

If it helps, I've got the iTunes version 9.1.something at least, or 9.2 possibly. Either way, my iTunes is mostly all the way up to date. 6 out of the 13 songs on my playlist were purchased from iTunes, and the disks I've been trying to use are TDK Music-CDR.

I'm looking to study in Asia (either China or Thailand) next year and I was wondering a few things.

I know the health regulations aren't the same but what kinds of vaccinations would I need before I go? Is there a specific process for Visas if I'm going there? Finally, being a girl and not even 21 yet, should I have someone to go with me if at all possible just for safety? I know I could do it alone but my mom's nervous about me leaving the North American Continent for the first time alone.

Anything else I should know before I go?

I can't remember the title of a play I once read about in a book called "Inside the Mind of Gideon Rayburn" by Sarah Miller. I could figure this out if I had the book still, but unfortunately I don't :(

Anyway, synopsis of what I remember:

There is a couple that is divorcing, and one of their problems is that they don't know how to split up their possessions, mainly their dog.

The play is Spanish, that's all I know, and that it's probably a couple decades old at this point. It had only three characters: the woman, the man, and their dog.

Does anybody know what this play is? It may just have been made up from the book, but people have a tendency not to do that when the play is a major part of the plot... Anyway, just wondering!

Okay, I know that question sounds a little stupid, but it's not like I'm trying to buy something totally generic like Lady GaGa or something for 1.49 in euros instead of $1.29. What I want to get is a song called "One More Chance" by Bloc Party and it's available in the UK and on the iTunes UK and on Amazon.com's UK site, but I cannot for the life of me find it on any American site. I don't get why it's not translated over in the USA, it's not a brand new song or anything. I know there are ways of getting it, obviously, but I'd like to get it legally and pay them for their music as I happen to like Bloc Party as a band. Does anyone know any possible site or way that I can get this song? If you do, please let me know.

Hi, I'm studying for a final right now and I came across the term Mod in one of my questions. I know it has something to do with the remainder of something, but I'm not sure what to do with it when it looks something like this:

So I'm not really sure how to get the calculations for the text results when I don't know what mod means in that example, sooo that is why I am asking the all-powerful yahoo answers community. If anyone can help, thanks!

Okay so I know this is a little stupid of me to ask, but I don't want to dive in headfirst (literally) and end up ruining my dye job.

I dyed my hair from medium blonde to medium brunette a couple weeks ago. Now, since my hair was already blonde I stocked up on a lot of John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoo and conditioner. I don't want to let it go to waste (I'm in college and it's what I have left right now), so I was wondering...

If i use the sheer blonde shampoo or conditioner when my hair is dyed brown, is there going to be any consequences such as loss of dye color? I mean, I realize hair dye fades a little over time, but would it make my hair color wonky and look extremely noticeably fake?

So, my best friend has been dating this guy for almost a year now and for almost as long as I've known them together as a couple, they've bickered and argued and fought. He says she cheated on him three times, which I don't believe because you don't tell a drunk girl they can kiss whoever they want: that's like a trap! They've also done the whole breaking up for ten minutes thing and then getting back together again about five times. He tells her he can't trust her but then he himself goes and smokes pot behind her back even when he promised on their relationship that he would stop.

I know that's not the healthiest or smartest sounding relationship, but none of that is even the part that makes me want to kill him the most.

About two weeks ago he got mad at her, broke her expensive new car stereo, choked her, bit her, and pushed her down on the asphalt outside their condo. She called me that night crying and was so ready to dump him but then (stupid cute things..) of all things he goes and apologizes the next morning and says it won't ever happen again and he's soooo sorry. Well, I hate to say it but I want him dead. He hurt my friend and I've told her I hate him now, but she says that since she loves him she doesn't want to let go of him.

How can I get her to see the light? Why can't she see that no matter how much she loves him, this is not a good relationship? I've told her sooo many times that he is not good to her, that he IS abusing her, but she just brushes it off and says it's emotional abuse, not physical.

But it's still abuse! Ugh! The whole situation makes me so mad and I want to kill him but again, this is not my relationship. I can't just tell her it's him or me, because I can't just leave her alone to suffer. She's like my sister, and I'm pretty sure that besides the few friends who agree with me, no one else knows how bad the situation is, and she'll never tell them. If I ditch her she'll waste away and I can't let that happen.

So.

How do I make the bad boyfriend disappear without making it look like I sabotaged a really, really, really bad and abusive relationship?

I woke up this morning around three and the back of my head felt weird..like, it felt wet but it wasn't wet. So anyway i went back to sleep and this morning during my shower i accidentally scratched this bump and turns out it hurts a lot, but it doesn't itch at all. It felt like a swollen bug bite at that point. Well, i dried my hair then went out to get groceries and all, did my daily whatevers, and then when i came back to my dorm and felt it, it feels more swollen around the area, but the initial bump just raised itself and now it hurts even more to touch it, but it's not throbbing or anything.

I asked one of my friends about it earlier today and she said it might be a bug bite, or it could be an allergic reaction to the bleach cleaner i was using to clean the bathroom yesterday, but..neither of these make much sense to me considering a-it doesn't itch, and b-there wasn't a wound there before.

So I'm wondering if there's any other explanation? I was thinking it might be a cyst, but it doesn't feel gushy (again, i'm basing this on advice from my friends so i'm not sure), orrr it could be a tick according to my boyfriend. But are ticks even prominent in the Pacific Northwest? And if it was a tick, then how can i get it out, because i can't see where it is really since it's on the back up my head, just above my hairline.

Any ideas? And if it's not gone by tomorrow night should I go to a health clinic on monday?

Are there any major companies abroad too? That we might be hearing about soon due to globalization or will we always be stuck with the tiny amount the U.S. seems to be able to provide?

I absolutely hate it...all I've seen out of this election so far is more dividing. People are being whiny and irritating, forcing their own biased opinions on others and calling other human beings terrible things. Yes, some people are illefal immigrants but guess what? They're still human. You shouldn't be calling them racial slurs just because you've picked up the "election spirit".

What do you think? Is election time just another excuse to be rude and pressuring? Or something else?

I have an Epson Stylus R280 printer, and I just got the USB chord for it (which was dumb of Epson to not include that) aaand now that I've got it set up right, the "on" button keeps blinking green, yet the ink button is a steady orange light. I loaded the paper and did everything right, but now...now when I ask it to print, it says it's doing it, and it doesn't do it. It just ques it for when my printer apparently will work.

How can I get my printer to work right???

Soooo...my dell desktop PC finally got taken over by a trojan, which apparently is now frying my harddrive so I've had it completely turned off for a couple days and am now using my macbook. I had about 17G of music on my old itunes and have still been salvaging music from myinfected computer. My boyfriend told me not to do it cos it'll transfer the virus, but so far nothing's happened..? (but that's also cos I haven't touched itunes since this all started on my mac) So my question stands: if I've got a bunch of music files that are definitely infected with a nasty nasty trojan (plus whatever else it downloaded) but I'm transferring them to a mac from a pc, will all the trojans transfer over as well and send my new shiny laptop to hell with all it's viruses?

Come next year I'll be graduating college and entering the "real world" (which, btw, sounds completely overrated lol). The job I have in mind would make about $60,000 per year, and I imagine that if I rented an apartment for my first place away from home (besides my lovely little dorm) that included utilities and only sucked away about $1500 a month, I'd be okay. Then there's the car, and the insurance, and all that other wonderful tax chaos that my dad helps me with still, but anyways...I figure that having a $60,000 a year job would be okay for me if I was single and living a decently frugal life. Am I right, or is today's market a little different than back in the day when we still had "Life Issues" in middle school and they tried to teach us about this stuff?

I really love the two songs from the Hunchback of Notre Dame that have the Organ in them. I think they're the only two songs Disney's ever came out with for a score that have been so powerful :) (Songs are: Sanctuary and The Bells of Notre Dame)

Anyway, I was just wondering if there are more songs out there in the entire world that sound like them or have the same power to them? Or for that matter, anything that has the Organ in it that doesn't sound like Church music (or Phantom of the Opera)?
