Why do dogs make themselves throw-up by eating grass?
Saturday, mid-morning, nothing special going on.
Same food, clean water, no excitement in the area. (actually boring around here)
So, why does my dog eat grass just to throw up?

5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoIs there any way to set the default Adobe Flash quality to medium?
My little laptop can't handle the "high quality" setting for more than a minute or so without shutting down from Adobe Flash Player using all the memory, and video acceleration for stupid adds, and steaming video.
Mind you, I don't need the super most bestest top-end high quality video ALL the time.
I get tired of right clicking and setting the video quality on every visit to ANY web page.
(when the option is available)
Is there a way to keep my laptop from shutting down due overheating from Adobe Flash Player over-taxing my system short of disabling Adobe Flash Player (Shockwave Flash)?

5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoOkay, So, WD-40 and Duct tape is all I need right?
Open flesh wound = Duct tape.
Belts squeal = WD-40?
I think I've got it now.
Who needs repair manuals, and tools anyway.....
Thanks for all your help.
(yes this is a joke)

I've got 7 rolls of it, and things to fix around the house, and in the shop.
12 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoShould there be a minimum education requirement for getting a drivers license?
Someone of age with a 6th grade education over the age of 16 that dropped out of school can get a drivers license in (Insert your State) after simply passing a driving, and written test.
Should the requirements be a little higher?
It bugs me when I see so many misspelled words in some of the questions on YA and to think my Daughter is going to be driving around with the undereducated kids out there on the road as well.
Am I wrong to worry?

No misfires.
Idles fine.

(Engine Cold)
From a stop, as I accelerate in first gear, it's like riding a bucking bronco.
After engine speed increases, it runs like a champ very good power.
It will improve in performance as the engine warms up.
O2 sensor is nearly $200 and I don't want to throw new parts at good parts.

7 AnswersBuying & Selling1 decade ago'91 Mustang GT (ignition misfire when cold)?
Tachometer drops instantly and engine cuts off for 1/4 second or so every several seconds and continues doing this for around 5 minutes until the engine warms up.
This is not a single cylinder misfire, it's a brief, complete ignition system misfire.
It's not a loose spark plug wire, or coil wire.
All connections are clean and tight.
Now, I'm familiar with other ignition problems that are caused by coil getting hot and failing until they cool off. But this has frustrated me for several weeks troubleshooting this issue.
There are no check engine light codes.(scanned w/AutoXray 7000)
Running voltage is good. 14.3
Fuel pressure is 36psi running.
For Ford experts, is there a common problem that I should investigate, short of replacing a bunch of good parts with new parts and wasting money?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoAre you tired of vague questions on YA? (NO year, make, model)?
I am tired of asking people to add details to their questions and have found a website that I like a little more than Yahoo Answers for automotive help.
There are not as many members, so some questions go unanswered for now.
However, if you like answering automotive repair questions with year, make and model listed, perhaps you would find this site more answerer friendly.
I do.

3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoCalifornia Earthquakes have diminished in numbers?
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsca...
Usually there are more than 600 earthquakes listed on this web page.
However, the number of earthquakes has dropped to just over 400 for the past couple of weeks.
Does this indicate that there is energy building up along the fault lines to make one really big one soon?
