The small car has less mass.

For both vehicles to come to a complete stop at the same time, the small car would have to have been travelling at a greater speed than the truck.

If they were travelling at the same speed before colliding, or if the truck was travelling faster, the truck would not stop after the collision. It would push the car backwards and would still have momentum due to its greater mass.

The driver of the small car wouldn’t be well. My 2021 Lincoln Navigator is the best. 6000 pounds. Keep your junk away from her.
