am I the only one? ?

I've fallen out of love, and I can tell very well that my husband too. I guess is just the fact knowing that we can sleep whenever he wants or I want. But other than that, not even our children are holding this marriage together. I might consider divorce some day, but I like my comfort and I think he does too. We are just playing house without the feelings. It's been a long time, close to hitting the 20th yr mark. I guess if I find someone special or he does, we will call it quits for good.....

So you two are drifting. How about looking for some way to regain an anchor, rather than spending the next how ever many years waiting for your marriage to crash?

Marriage in trouble? Then look at ways to fix the problems. Try some couple's therapy as you don't seem to have any insurmountable problems. Even if it doesn't work, at least it might clarify WHY this marriage is over and how to end it with as little pain as possible.

Based on the people I know, yes, you're the only one.  I would not - nor would my friends - live in a loveless household NOR would we raise our children in one.  It's a question of settling.  And planning on meeting someone "special" when you are married requires you to define "special."  Is "special" someone who has no problems dating a married woman?

You see it, yet do nothing about it, that is on both of you by the way.  Ruts and routine cause stagnation, which kills.  Got to figure out how to break the cycles. Easier said then done and is it actually worth it?  The answer would be, yes.

You will do best if you and husband bring this into the open. It may not be as bad as you think, but if it is, you will be happier seeking a new life. Playing house is no way to spend your only time on this earth.
