Shower after tetanus shot?

My doctor told me not to shower for 2 days afterwards, why? I don't get it.

I think you should have got him to check your hearing problem while you were there.

    No doctor would say that.

    Why didn't you ask him?

    Not enough detail.

That instruction never has anything to do with getting an injection, but everything to do with the injury you got which caused you to require an anti-tetanus booster.

Fresh wounds need to be kept dry in order to form a scab: that includes wounds which have been sutured where a very narrow scab needs to form along the suture line to seal the wound.

That's weird.  I have to get boosters because of my job and no one has ever advised me that before.  Call the practice and ask for clarification as to why.

I don't see why either. I've never heard of that recommendation.
