Is it punctilious for a teacher to demand where you were if she's starting to close the door right as you're going thru the doorway?

Or is it normal?

You were the very last person to arrive to class and the person who got there immediately before you is near his seat but hasn't sat down yet

    You were "technically late" for class.  It's a reasonable question under the circumstances.  "Punctillious?"

    It's punctilious for her to close the door at the appointed time. "Where were you" is possibly incorrect as you were where you were supposed to be when class was beginning.
