my employer did an illegal credit check?

i live in colorado my state here is illegal to do a credit check on potential hires. i was hired but i see on my credit report my employer ran a credit check on me. what can i do> what should i do?

    Actually its not illegal in Colorado for employers to do credit checks on all employees. 

    It very much depends on where you work and your job responsibilities. 

    A few examples where its legal

    Banks and credit union employees 

    Someone whose job has access to customers personal and financial information 

    Jobs that require handling cash

    Figure out what damages you have suffered and you can sue them for it.  You'll also get fired.
