Is it normal to not be able to sense that someone is shouting to you in this case?

The person is virtually on the opposite side of the room or at least many feet away, there are other people near you, and the person doesn't even shout your name. The person doesn't at least point to you or describe what you look like such as your hair color or shirt color. And you're not trying to get attention nor intentionally standing out.

Or would there be something wrong with me if I had that problem?

Is it normal to not be able to tell that they're trying to get your attention in the conditions?
