do you think my parents are right to punish me for drinking alcohol underage ?

last weekend i came home drunk, my parents went mad as i am only 15, they said that drinking underage is very dangerous, they said that if they caught me again drinking they would have NO option but to LOCK ME UP, i said i DONT do lock ups so piss off, last night i came home drunk and had a row with my mum and told her to go to hell, my parents then escorted me to my room , took EVERYTHING out tv phone pc etc, they then LOCKED my bedroom door with a key and said i would stay locked in until monday morning when ONLY then i would be freed for school is this punishment fair ?

They could have called the police and told them that  you were a danger to yourself and others. You would have been locked up in jail, and evaluated by a psychiatrist. You might want to thank them for letting  you off easy.

    Yes.

Your brain doesn't stop growing until you are in your early 20's, and everytime you get drunk, you are killing off brain cells.  And they don't recover.

There is a REASON it is illegal for you to drink.  It is for your safety, and so that you have a CHANCE at being happy over the 60+ years you will be an adult.

Until you are 18, your parents are legally in charge of you.  They COULD send you away to a military-style boot-camp school for kids who get in trouble too often.  And maybe they should, because you need different friends.
