Will Hydrogen Peroxide Kill Staghorn Algae?

    It does, but I found it hard to use. I used a syringe, shut off the  tank filter and blasted the algae with it, then waited about 5 minutes before turning on the filters again. That did kill some of it, but not all. I've tried EVERYTHING the fish forums suggest to get rid of this algae. It is a b***h to clear out. The only thing that worked for me was an aquarium algaecide. That killed it all! It was hard on the plants though. When I saw it was all gone and stopped dosing... yup. The stuff eventually grew back again. Sucks.
