Lately my sweet hershey (my dog) has been barking 24/7 she was barking all night and she sleeps outside and my neighbor told me to use a bark colllar im anti to dog collars so i said no and told him to get off my property or i would call the cops he left but called the landlord and filed a complaint against me well when i came home i saw animal control with my dog and ran over there when i did i politely asked the worker to hand me the dog they said once a dog is in the truck they have to go to the pound i started crying and called my mom she said we would go to the pound tomorrow we have 7 days to get the dog before she is put down i think this is unfair as my dog was just barking and she wasn't being a nuisance but being a normal dog any advice here

Update:

you dont know if im a troll this really happened stop assuming stuff you dont know please

Update 2:

Your dog isa complete and total nuisance to everyone who hears the barking... as you say ... 24/7.  And, barking ALL NIGHT long outside? Why?

Thank GOD animal control got involved.  Your parents and you are horrible dog owners to allow that noise to disturb everyone 24/7. And, not too intelligent to allow it to happen after not one, but two warnings.

If you cannot have a pet that does not disturb everyone within earshot, then you should not be a pet owner. Being 18 years old changes nothing other than YOU will then be the dog owner who pays the fines and pound fees. Silly.

FIND THIS DOG A NEW HOME!!!  Apparently, it doesn't like being alone while you're at work and it doesn't like being outside.    Your life and the dog's life are not going to be good if you try to keep this dog.  The neighbor and LL don't care who OWNS the dog, they DO care if it barks all day and night.  The LL can evict you for creating turmoil  AND he can keep your deposit if he does that.

    Your landlord

That dog was violating the law with the excessive barking.  Landlord had a right to call & Animal Control had their rights too.  You are the one that is responsible for this dog & you never trained it to stop the excessive barking.  You are a negligent dog owner & your problem will still exist until you properly train your dog to stop all the barking.  Your reasoning & logic is out of whack & you are 100% in the wrong & will be until you train your dog.  If you cannot stop the barking this can happen again & again & you will be paying fines that get higher each time the dog is picked up by Animal Control & if this happens more than three times, you could loose your dog.

Be a responsible dog owner & train your dog.

Animal control cannot just come and take a dog away because of what some neighbor claimed. The "he said she said." If a dog is being neglected, abused, or not not licensed those are other grounds for removal.

My dogs are inside pets, when they go outside to potty, either front or back yard, of our fully fenced yard, and start barking, I immediately tend to that issue, it is not cool or okay to let your dog randomly bark and find out what they are barking at. Our little yappers like to bark if they spot a cat, or if someone is out walking their dog.Responsible pet owners do not just let their dogs bark at non threatening targets. Poor Hershey really should be rehomed with a family whose pets live inside with them and receive lots of love, attention and positive reinforcement to curb bad behavior. I can't fathom the reason people would get a pet and it is always kept outdoors, why?!

However, if you left out some facts that your mom had been given citations and previously warned, then yeah the dog could be taken away.I love animals and everyone I know couldn't tolerate a dog that's left outside, constantly barking. It is very nerve wracking, annoying and so on...Oh wow, Hershey is only 7 months old?! That is beyond disturbing that a puppy would be put down all because of being neglected and irresponsible owners. You and your mom need to diligently search for a good forever home, or legit pet rescuers, there are a lot of them. Up where I live you can't get animal control to come up here even when a poor lady taking her daily walk was viscously attacked by a pittbull! She had to have numerous stitches and her leg looked extremely mauled. The sheriff's. animal control all dropped the ball! That's beyond disturbing. Your locale where you live are fortunate that animal control does offer services and seem quite responsive in handling complaints. Maybe you live in just the right sized town. Here in Calif. if your live in big city areas they probably are stretched too thin, on the other hand if you live in a rural area such as I do, up in the mountain areas, they are adverse to driving an hour away from their city headquarters.I hope that poor young pup is rescued asap. There are lots of pet rescue agencies which are privately owned and these folks go through hell and high water, willing to drive thousands of miles away if the need arises. sometimes even flying out states away to avail their services.Good luck Hershey and I sure hope all ends well.

A dog barking 24/7 outside is most certainly a nuisance. In my town 30 minutes of continued barking can be turned into a valid complaint.

Then you should ask momma  to teach you how to go about training imaginary dogs. And train it not to. Cos what you describe is not  at all concurrent with A.c. guidelines and  their seizure policies  either .....End of

Excessive barking is absolutely a nuisance. It's also likely against the terms of your lease agreement and probably also in violation of local ordinances against noise and/or nuisance dogs. It is not "being a normal dog". If you don't rectify the problem through training or bring your dog in the house at night and when you're not there to stop the barking, your dog will be seized again-and that's if your landlord is even willing to allow the dog back on the premises after this incident. Take the issue seriously and stop the barking, or don't own a dog.

If your dog gets enough exercise and entertainment every day, she’ll stop the excessive barking. It’s usually pent up energy.

Animal Control will tell you what you have to do and what you don't.  There are various ways to stop a dog barking, but they are not necessarily easy.
