Why is this dang website closing down?

People keep saying it's about the money. Yahoo was always free to use. How can you lose money when your website is free? It's not like we pay a subscription. Yahoo will have the same revenue with or without user's. In my opinion, the amount of user's went down over the year's. Yahoo groups is not that popular either like it use to be.

Well, due to the neglect of the yahoo company of this site, it is not a surprise. Ever since Verizon purchased yahoo, they have been slowly removing various things.
