Was yahoo answers more active in the past?

I know some section of yahoo answers there is not lot of questions being posted every day so the traffic is less. Could this be one of the reasons the company is losing money if it is not active like before?

I know Yahoo groups use to be way more active in past than it started die really bad. So I’m not surprised what happen to yahoo groups. Well is the same thing happening to yahoo answers?

I joined Y!A in 2008 and for the next 4 to 5 years, questions flowed in like 10 or more per minute, and each question usually got 5 to 10 answers.  The only ones that didn't were those that were just unlucky enough to slide to the bottom of the screen before anyone had a chance to open them.

Yes, this site was much more active. I joined shortly after it started in 2005. It was hard to keep up with all the questions being asked.

Yes. It was extremely popular a d active. When I started in 2005 my personal top contributor category was fashion and accessories and  there were nearly a hundred questions a day. When the format went to. Purple the number of questions went down to a few dozen a day. I left for several years and when I returned there was maybe ten to twenty questions in all of beauty and style that weren't spam, is me she me pretty, who else shares my fetish. In the last few months there are maybe one or two legitimate questions a day with the rest spam and repetitive picture trolls.
