Half-full or half-empty?
if I have two identical glasses, and a 100% liquid transfer rate (no water droplets are left on the inside of the glass)
if I pour half a glass of water into the glass, is it half full or half empty
if I have a full glass and pour out half, is it half full or half empty
if I have a full glass, and drink half of it, is it half-full or half-empty?
now
if I drink half a cup of water, pour the remaining half into the second glass, is the second glass half-full or half-empty?
if I do the same, but pour the second cup back into the first glass, is it half-full or half-empty?
on one hand, I drank half of the water, but at the same time I also poured in half of the water

You're missing the bigger picture - the glass is always full...of two different things.
