What kind of pot is this? Origin? Value?

Does anyone know what kind of tea pot or coffee pot this is?    numbers on bottom are:

           8       5  2  0

Update:

The numbers on the bottom are arranged  where the 8 is above the 2     in the numbers 520

That's properly nice, either silver or pewter.  The style is 1700s, but if the numbers on the base are original and not added later then it's a copy of that style, a nice copy and probably hundred or so years old.  It's not a bad idea to have it appraised.

Looks like Sterling. Might want to have it appraised.
