Compressibility decreases as the porosity increases?

In rock compressibility, why is the compressibility of a rock decreases as the porosity of the rock increases? For me it doesn't make any sense because if the porosity of a rock formation is high, then the empty space of that formation is bigger and the compressibility should've been bigger too.
