Republicans came up with  'cancel culture'  when twitter and other platforms started cracking down on disinformation and outright lies and inciting violence.  "Woke" also a republican made buzz word. Near as I can tell it has to do with white privledge being called out and confronted head on.

No, not at all.  If we'd had woke/cancel culture in the 1930s, we would not have had to go to war against Nazi Germany, resulting in the deaths of tens of millions.  It's all good when Republicon National Socialists are being cancelled.
