They no longer want to be held responsible for possible litigation. It's all just about the money..

Once the Money Hungry Version sees the Rest or Verzion Yahoo start to Fail they will Reinstate Yahoo and Listen to its Customers that used to have Millions of Customers when we had the Green Yahoo

People read adverts, adverts bring in Money Give the Customer what he wants and you get More Customers

It's gone the same way as the old Yahoo chat boards - it's been overwhelmed by trolls and idiots because Yahoo couldn't be bothered to moderate it professionally, and self-moderation has failed.

The self regulated forum experiment failed. The violations were too numerous and the rest of us didn't do our duty enough to report the violations. I even saw people proud to claim they didn't report anything. YA did not want to hitch to this irresponsible image.

There are many q+a forums to choose from. I noticed reddit giving me alerts to click. I'll probably learn more about that soon enough.

Nobody wants to advertise on this site as it has become a cess pit of racism and trolling. As an experiment in allowing free speech it only proved that when given the opportunity, people cannot behave responsibly. No advertisers means no revenue and no real reason to keep it going. The trolls can be proud of themselves.

Yahoo never gave us a reason.  Anyhow some people are going over to Reddit, which is similar to how YA used to be, about 8 years ago, ie more supportive and less trolls.

Because it’s become a sewer of hate and bile which Yahoo are no longer prepared to attempt to moderate.

It’s long overdue, and the scumbags can retreat to their safe spaces on Parler and Gab, where they can talk about their supremacy while sitting in dirty underwear touching themselves.

It is permanent. After 20th Apr read only then 4th May it will be shut down.

The shut down is supposedly according to Yahoo is that because there are fewer people visiting / using the site.
