Is LinkedIn a good way to find a job and get hire?

It can be if used correctly.  Update your profile with the appropriate information and key words and set it to be searchable by recruiters.  Use your linked contacts there to get the word out for the type of job you're looking for.  Of course, they also have job listings posted there as well.  The site is generally for business professionals only so it will depend on the type of job you're looking for to know if it'll be worth the effort or you should be using a different site.
