Is there really such a thing as the Illuminati ?

The Illuminati were a secret society of forward-thinkers in Europe many hundreds of years ago. They were scientists, artists, philosophers, and as that sort of thing was banned by the church (which controlled most governments) as heresy, they had to meet in secret. That’s really all it meant.
They no longer exist, but due to the novel ‘The Da Vinci Code’ by Dan Browne, lots of people started believing it. It’s a bit like teenagers believing that vampires exist after reading Twilight.

Although it is not officially acknowledged by name, the Illuminati is very real.
Think of it as a secret agreement between the super rich and big business leaders. They are the 1% that control most of the world's money. Although politicians are considered the "world leaders" it is the super rich who fund them. Politicians often make empty promises to the people, lying to gain votes, while it is the Illuminati who provide the majority of campaign funds. What politician will bite the hand that feeds them? So laws are continuously passed putting restrictions on the common man in favor of big businesses.
They control the banking system and value of money. People have little interest and understanding of how the financial system works, so their dominance and criminal activity goes unnoticed. If people DID realize how our current money system works there would be a revolution by tomorrow morning. The power they are allowed is unreasonable. By controlling the economy of a given country, they practically control the country itself.
They already rule the world with money so they continuously expand their influence of power. It is best for them that the majority of people remain ignorant of their existence, as they have been controlling global events for years. Pitting countries in war against each other for selfish profit and furthering agendas. Human life and conditions of poverty for other people mean absolutely nothing to them.
People blindly follow what the media tells them, not realizing the media is owned by this secret cabal and wouldn't dare publicize their existence. They meet annually in the Bilderberg conference and yet the media completely blacks out, not mentioning one word of it to the public. From there they plan their political agenda for the next years, already knowing who the next president or prime minister will be.

Yes, of course. This is the babylonian system of people who were later the Roman empire, which became the Roman Catholic church - believing themselves as part gods, and therefore "illuminated" from within as their own gods, self-powered. These so-called elites were the overlords of Europe in the Dark Ages, and they caused the dark ages. Today we see the same type as like Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Newsom, etc who believe they are elite, "illuminated" of extra-specialness. But really they're deluded evil people interested in destroying others and making all people their slaves to control.

No there really isn't. It's just a fun schoolyard myth, not a real thing. Not only would it be impossible for them to exist, but in many countries it doesn't need to exist.
We've all heard of them and their essential characteristics: They're the secret shadow-government that makes all the big decisions (from election results to how long the limited time is on "limited time only" menu items at McD's or Taco Bell), they're growing in power and almost (key word, almost) ready to take over and enslave us all, and they definitely don't like you.
A lot of people will tell you all about the illuminati, in fact most of them won't even wait for you to ask. But if you notice how every believer 'knows' who they really are, you'll start seeing cracks in the foundation. One person knows it's the elitist left like Bernie Sanders or Nancy Pelosi, and they'll spend hours proving it. Someone else knows it's the Vatican, and they have all the proof you need with them. Yet someone else knows it's Israel (Israel is almost always involved with any conspiracy theory), and as always they have tons of proof if you need convincing. See the pattern here? If you ask 100 believers who is running (or at least a member of) the Illuminati, you'll get 100 different answers. It makes you wonder if any group isn't an Illuminati member.
Then there's their timeline, which busts the myth wide open. These guys, under one name or another (they used to be the NWO until (no really) Hulk Hogan copyrighted the name for his wrestling group, they were also called Big Brother for a while), have been stuck in the planning & development stage for at least 65 years. When Genghis Khan gathered enough support to start conquering other nations, he started conquering. Same deal with the likes of Alexander The Great, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, and just about everyone else in that line of work. They didn't spend years (never mind decades) planning and debating the process, they just did it. There's no excuse for spending 65 years in the planning stage, it's just plain ridiculous.
The Illuminati would also only work in the western civilized world (North America, most of Europe, etc), because that's where the myth originated. If you went to China, North Korea, Cuba or almost anywhere in Africa and told them about this Illuminati and their planned enslavement of the world, they'd say "welcome to my world". And they would look over their shoulders first, to make sure nobody else was listening. In most of those countries, even asking questions about the government is grounds for imprisonment, torture and execution.

Yes, here in America it's known as the KKK. It's a Christian organization. Do not ever trust a Christian. They talk out of both sides of their mouth. That's why the Indians said they speak with a forked tongue. They are all about white supremacy as you already know. I know because I have been abused by them. It's the church of christ. I love telling on them. I am not afraid. The Catholic church is the Mafia. My church of christ daughter is married to a catholic mafia man. I know for a fact that it's true.

Not anymore, no. The Illuminati was formed by a group of successful, highly learned, progressive men in Bavaria who tried to educate the populace and gain women equal rights while at the same time exposing the corruption and dominance of the Catholic Church and the King. The society's formal goals were to oppose superstition, religious influence over public life, and abuses of state power. "The order of the day," they wrote in their general statutes, "is to put an end to the machinations of the purveyors of injustice, to control them without dominating them." The men who formed the group where then harassed and arrested by the ruling administrator under orders from the Catholic church. They were framed as criminals, and disbanded. This happened in the 18th century.
